Seriously, if it wasn't Bethesda, I'd say I can't understand why they don't either set these looping noises to a more sensible level or give you control over individual sounds, but this is Bethesda and I expect Todd Howard made equally annoying looping noises when he was in his baby cot.
did you have any problems when editing the audio files? I'm trying to do something similar for Assualtrons and Sentry bots because my automatrons are kind of loud, but I have been getting all kinds of issues. Doing the footstep sounds was simple enough and it seems they work as intended, but when I do the robobrain and sentry locomotion sounds, they won't stop looping in game, even when the robot isn't moving. Any suggestions?
I figured out how to extract and convert sounds so I also reduced the GenericIdle "clanking" sounds if you want to add them to your mod. I don't see a way to attach them to you in a private message here but, if you want them, I can email them to you directly (let me know in a private message).

At last I can hear the raiders as they shout at me RIGHT BEFORE THE AMBUSH... but that's a different problem. Thank you!
