This might be what i need, because i use a mod that adds 400 ghouls in the game and i made 5 copy's of it, so now it adds 2000 ghouls in the game lol :p
Ok, honestly?... there are some other mods on the Nexus that have prettier (ahem, we're talking ghouls here) textures but, man, for a 4.6kb file this mod is awesome. I have a pretty ok rig and have always gone nuts with HD texture mods on previous Bethesda games. But, with FO4, I can really notice a performance hit unless I exercise a bit of restraint. This mod is absolutely perfect for me. Big difference for such a small footprint. Really nicely done.
These textures were stolen from http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7951/? He made simple edits to the textures but I already could see by the texture patterns that they are the same. http://imgur.com/eEISBau http://imgur.com/3WVJlQg Bet you can't tell which screenshot is from which mod. I hope they take this down soon and ban this thief.
that's a bold claim. i made edits to the vanilla textures. because i don't wanna deviate from them too much. and if this person took similar steps that i have, then he would surely have similar results? again, they aren't too big of changes. just more "intense" normal's i have created using the vanilla normal's. as it says in the description. my aim is to make them look more detailed while keeping the vanilla look as well as make them smaller in size.
He altered the default textures, just like that mod does - it doesn't constitute stealing at all.
If you loaded a texture into Photoshop and put a red filter over it without any other edits for example; and someone else happened to do that - would you also class that as stealing?
It's definitely possible that this mod author derived these independently, but it wouldn't change the fact that it was done first by someone else, so copyright laws may apply. In any event, I'd go with the mod that handles all of the creatures in game as opposed to just one.
I don't think you can class that as copyright law as the other mod files haven't been used. If it wasn't for the fact that Bethesda made them in the first place and gave everyone the tools for making alterations you might be able to say intellectual property, but like I say Bethesda already came up with that idea.
I think your mod looks great and there is plenty of room for personal preference so don't listen to anyone telling you to take it down. Thanks for uploading it.
In all honesty I can't see how you can say that. I took the liberty of looking at that other mod myself and...their ghouls do NOT look the same. At least not from the images provided. This is one of their provided images: https://puu.sh/rtbC6/80801711cd.jpg
Comparing that to AustinDarkwolf's here? Definitely not the same texture. If anything Austin's here does look closer to Vanilla's which is something he said he wished to achieve. For me, that's preferable. Both are good versions with their own differences from what I see.
