In 2024 would anyone care to share if this is better than M.A.I.M?? I would greatly appreciate it since I see this mod has injured animations which maim doesn't have.
By the way I edited the script and added visible wounds decals that trigger when you're injured in a specific body part. It works even if you play in 1st person, to get rid of the blood decals the only way is healing your wounds (the decals will be replaced with bandages).
I feel lazy to update the mod, so I will eventually share it if I see enough interest.
Love the idea of this mod however I feel in it's current state it is too static and awkward to be practical in a realism playthrough. It would really help this mod if you could craft bandages using cloth and antiseptic as finding bandages in the wastes is not easy especially when playing with BLD and DT mods where most if not all creature bites will become infected if not bandaged. Cloth is abundant and so is antiseptic however you're forced to watch your character slowly bleed out or chug stimpacks and water because you don't have specifically whisky to craft a wound care kit. There's also the issue of antiseptic and alcohol do the same job so why do we need both to make a care kit rather than having one recipe for antiseptic and one for each spirit. Otherwise great mod but yeah I'm gonna have to disable it until crafting options are added for bandages etc (plus clear instruction on how to treat an infected wound). In it's current state I can't even get passed sanctuary without being stuck with an infection due to using up the ONE bandage I could find in the entire area and needing another for a single radroach bite (which isn't the problem as that makes sense, the problem is the inaccessibility of bandages).
Edit: That bandage wasn't even from this mod apparently as I found another after disabling it, which means I literally couldn't find a single one before getting my first infection and still couldn't for long after it.
Yeah it's realistic... Add a mod that remove all stimpaks and your are done... And leave the branch charisma perk empty for the fun to buy simples things at extra high price.
Has anyone experienced a glitch where stimpacks suddenly change to "heals head 100%" with no other effects? I doubt this mod is doing that, but perhaps in conjunction with another conflicting mod. I'm having that glitch and trying to narrow down where it's coming from.
