Does this mod only change the visual effects of the explosion? If so could I pair it with a mod that only changes the damage output like the mod Op Mini nukes and I wouldn't have any problems?

The "Fat Man" in game is not based on the real world Fat Man, it's based on the M-28 Davey Crockett. The mini nuke in game is based on the W-54 warhead which had a 250 ton yield Mk-54 warhead with a 10-20 ton yield.

The Power of Atom mod already makes in game nukes much more realistic.

20 tons of TNT is what I just read.

"The M-388 round used a version of the Mk-54 warhead, a very small sub-kiloton fission device. The Mk-54 weighed about 51 lb (23 kg), with a yield equivalent to somewhere between 10 and 20 tons of TNT—very close to the minimum practical size and yield for a fission warhead."

It does make a fairly large explosive, as I looked up a youtube video of explosive disposal in Iraq of a 20 tons of TNT equivalent.

You are correct sir, the Mk-54 warhead had a 10 or 20 ton yield, two variants were created, presumably for the two different launchers (M-28 with a 2km range and M-29 with a 4km range). Both warhead variants had a HI/Lo switch to determine burst height at the time of firing.

I was mixing up the Davey Crockett's Mk-54 warhead with the AIM-26 Falcon air to air missile's W-54 warhead. Same basic warhead design but the W-54 had a much higher yield.

I have yet to download your mod, so I can't check the esp file to see if you set it up correctly. Seeing as you used flimsy (and bad) math to justify making your explosions bigger I am going to assume that you just changed the size of the blast radius and called it a day. None of which is particularly 'comprehensive', especially from an immersion standpoint. For example you didn't address sound (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7956/?), lighting (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11641/?), or radiation effects (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8602/?). All of which if you want to support you are going to have to make patches for at the minimum.

On that same note, why compare it with the Fat Man, when the military had an actual semi-portable nuke launcher to compare it to (Davy Crockett)? With a blast yield of 10-20 tons or something.
