New version (1.3.3) is out! - Fixed a severe bug where Leyla couldn't exit power armour. She now has a dialogue option to exit a suit if she's in one, just like other companions. - Added idle dialogue! She will now occasionally say one-lines or hum while on your adventures. - Removed the second pair of clothes she was holding. - Slightly adjusted her combat effectiveness. - (1.3.1) Tweaked her faction alignments. - (1.3.1) Fixed a punctuation error in her dialogue. - (1.3.2) Removed the "teleport spell" that was mistakenly set to true on her. - (1.3.3) Improved her AI; she should follow you into elevators and vertibirds now (among other improvements).[/size]
I will certainly use the knowledge I've gained in creating his follower to create more followers. I'd like to thank Seddon4494 for being a huge help in helping me fix the issues.
Internal File FormID Is A HITME HITME stands for HIgher Than Master Entry. This message is printed by the internal xEdit error check. The first two bytes of the internal form ID refer to a non existing index of the Master Files list on the File Header record for the plugin. This means it can not be determined if the record is an overwrite (and which master plugin it belongs to) or if the record is added as a master record by the plugin itself. This can happen when entries are forcible removed from the Master Files list for example. In case the plugin is a the result of using a merge tool, it might be possible to fix it by loading and saving the plugin in Creation Kit or xEdit. In most other cases the plugin is most likely broken beyond automatic repair.
Hi, I have tried both your companions and am having the same problem of all other companion types not being able to have them follow me. I have the latest version of Leyla as I noticed your previous troubles. I have gone as far as deleting all content (Mods) from my game -Deleted all saved game and started from new. Even with doing all this I still am having the same problem. Every other companion type character will not follow me. Can you tell me how you fixed your problem maybe it can help me fix mine. cheers bigfoot2
Ensure that there are no greeting dialogues that are set as unconditional. IE, ensure that all of your dialogue greetings have a condition in place (GetIsID is a must if you want the dialogue to only be said by your NPC). These are the conditions I have for one of the greetings on Leyla.
GetInFaction is also a must so they can initiate certain kinds of dialogue depending on if they're following you as a companion or not.
Finally, refer to the scripts in the video. Those are the keys to actually set an NPC as a follower.
Essentially, just follow what he does in the video step by step.
Hey Bigfoot2, This mod might help... http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11829/? It's for infinite companions. I haven't had the issue you are describing with this mod. If you have a companion and already have the above mod, then use the recruit command which enables you to command multiple companions.
Thanks for the come back "matthavoc" But I already had "infinite Companions" installed and have had up to 10 companions at once and until now had no problems. After moving think around installing and reinstalling even deleting all mods and starting again I still have this "BUG" and a stuffed up game as I cannot have any Companion Follow my character. Ada in Automotron DLC - I cannot have her follow me. So until I find how to fix this "BUG" my game is "USELESS". thanks bigfoot2
I think I've just run into the same problem. Leyla, Sydney and Preston are all acting out like that, and it looks like the problem has been baked into the save already.
does Leyla and Sydney conflict with any mods because they are not showing up at red rocket or Abernathy farm?

Because of her location, does she have any conflict with this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24680/? because on that mod, Nora is recruited at Abernathy Farm.
I don't know how I missed this companion, but I have her now and she's great! Sydney has been one of my faves for quite a while, so I don't know how i missed Leyla. great work. Endorsed.
this is really great. I primarily used Construct a Custom Companion to make cool companions that didnt talk much but were combat capable, and this seems to be that but with less issues, lol
Mainly because of her hair style I thought she should look more like the screenshot I uploaded (My Leyla).
I have worked tirelessly to create a companion and haven't been able to do it. Created one, found her where I placed her, recruited her but then she walks off. Found her months later in the tunnels below The Castle.
I got 2 working in Fallout 3 but have no idea why I can't with Fallout 4.

I've released Leyla's LooksMenu Preset due to some requests. Check it out!

I simply followed this tutorial by Seddon4494.
