Well this would be realistic period, if we're assuming people still kept wolves on far harbor as nervous of humanity as pre-war, given wolves IRL run from humans because of hunters in the past killing them for bounties (after all there was a time when wolves killed and ate us, so of course people would want them to be dealt with.) IRL Wolves avoid humans out of a natural fear, as long as
1. you give them space, 2. don't run like a little woosy (that just means your an easy meal) 3. don't feed them.. Seriously don't.. STOP! 4. aren't in an area where wolves haven't been persecuted into fearing us 5. make it clear you'll fight back if the wolf attacks.
But wolves in a pack would go after far more powerful creatures then themselves, you may be in power armor, but wolves dont understand that its a hulking metallic suit of DEATH AND DESTRUCTION, and not just some kinda crab shall.
BS! As a WOLF BIOLOGIST, I am telling you there is NO empirical evidence of wolves EVER attacking folks and eating them - that is simply untrue! It was this kind of ignorance that got them damn near wiped out to begin with. Mod is very cool btw, and I agree with your reasoning behind it. But let's be clear - if one provides info, it is incumbent upon one to check their facts b4 posting.
"All decked out in power armor? A big mistake for those wolves who try and take you on...are they suicidal or just stupid?"
First: Bethesda game design. Second: Humans of all stripes will attempt to kill a power-armored player character with a pool cue despite actually possessing the mental faculties to know of what power armor is, its capabilities, and how futile it would be to go after someone in PA with a pool cue.
Why is it a bigger issue for wolves to be believably stupid when humans in the same game are unbelievably stupid?
Maybe instead of making them less aggressive, make them territorial only ? - Growl in other race direction as they approach their spawn point (excluding herbivore races) - When entity is too close, flip the aggressive switch on.
- ok a very late reply for this post, but still, here is why that wouldn't work. I tried to do something like this for skyrim, but, by everything I can see, it's the same set up as skyrim, and would require new scripts added to every wolf. That would control their behavior. Unfortunately, the scripting language can't handle such an extensive ai mod. even just the switch. It would actually require you to add another race, of the same creature, and replace the one that is there. And doing so, can cause problems, such as 1 shot kills from sneak attacks, then you get close, and the body disappears, being replaced by the living, aggressive variant.
I was going to ask if you were going to expand this to dogs and it was already answered. Looking forward to any and all mods concerning the critters, I really get tired of having to slaughter animals all the time.

Thanx!
Thanks, by the way. Used your mod in Skyrim and using both of them here too. <3

This mod is really for those of us who just don't like killing animals, and for a slightly less crazy commonwealth.

It's a slippery slope, I know - I fully expect to rename this mod 'Less Aggressive Animals' to align with my Skyrim mod of the same name.
Edit: Actually, I'll probably release the dogs as a separate mod for now, to keep the vanilla mod separate from this one which requires Far Harbor.
