@danpierpont78: ever since the script extender was released for FO4 I've never had any major problems with it. But I always play off-line and I only update a game to the next release after it is certain that the wrinkles are ironed out and that the mods that are F4SE version dependent have been updated as well.
The only major issue I had was with game version 1.10.120 of which the corresponding F4SE was constantly blocked by my BitDefender anti-virus solution for some reason. At first I reverted back to game version 1.10.50 which was for me the most stable and of which I had a back-up (I always make back-ups of fresh installs), later I circumvented the issue by not letting BitDefender check the hard drive my games and mods are on.
Very good point. I forgot that about a year ago (AFTER the last time i used F4se) I learned to disable auto-updates which makes my point moot. Thank you I will try using again. And totally agree on point of always waiting for bugs to be found and worked out. Been a dutiful practice of mine for a while minimum of 30-60 days before using any mods, etc. Its a Process but im getting there. Thank you again.

Also lightweight mods give more flexibility sometimes.
