I believe there''s some sort of issue using this with Trimorphs.
Normally armor meshes will scale with changing the actor's body (via weight triangle or looksmenu sliders). However, this particular armor mesh doesn't seem to work all the time. I've had it work once, but after exiting out and re-entering the game it went back and removed the trimorph settings.
Since you have a lot of experience, converting outfits to the Atomic Beauty shape, how would I go about converting CROSS Tactical Swimsuit or ARES Tsunami Underamor? Do you have plans to do either? I was trying to convert Cait's Corset as a starter project but I got a lot of distortion in the base shapes breasts and butt, do you know how to combat that? This outfit is on my list of things to download by the way. Just so you don't think I'm spamming. I'm thinking Piper might look good in this as a detective/journalist type.
ARES Tsunami is being worked on, but not by me. CROSS Tactical i'm not aware of any efforts to do so. I did write an article here outlining my general steps for converting outfits.
Cait's Corset was already converted by themilkdrinker in his vanilla clothing pack that is available as an optional file on the base body shape's page. What he does, and what i've started to do, is increase the vertex count of the outfits in certain areas so that they scale better with the body shape as the sliders go up or down. This is almost mandatory for vanilla outfits because of their low default vertex count. That requires the use of Blender or another 3D modeling program though, which is difficult to do a tutorial for since holy hell those programs are complicated. Blender at least is free so you can noodle around with it as much as you like.
That's a massive help. I'm new to learning how Fallout 4 handles meshes/textures, etc. compared to previous experience with the Unity game engine. Both the article and the information about vertex's is a great help. Don't know how to increase the vertexes but as I get more familiar with this stuff I'll remember to increase the vertex count.
Goddamnit, this is sooooo good. I wanna use this body but the thighs are just to extreme for my liking. Is there anyway you would make the corset only version for CBBE? Either way I'm giving you an endorse because goddamn that looks so good.
If you mean the CBBE body but with the shirt removed, that's already an option in the original version. It has that zap slider functionality which is why I duplicated it for this version.
If you mean Atomic Beauty upper body and CBBE lower, that's not possible no. There are plenty of options available in the BodySlide utility to get it how you like though, you can noodle around with the values in that and see if you can get something. Also remember that you're not limited to where the slider moves, you can type in values on the right to go below 0% or above 100%. I only tested within those ranges but for this outfit it should be ok.
Wow, I don't know how I missed the zap on the original! haha thanks for pointing that out. Nah I would never ask someone to do something like mix the 2 bodies. That would be tons of work haha. Thanks for the reply!
RaulMZ, I spent a lot of time playing with it. I could never get them down enough to satisfy personal taste haha. Just to much muscle bulge on the thighs. Maybe one day.
Cool, glad you got it figured out. I really like it when outfits of this nature allow for that sort of customization. Zap sliders are pretty easy to set up and they let you do a lot.
All of us should probably have a conversion coordination thread or something along those lines. I've had a couple I was working on and only found out just before I published that someone else was just about to do the same thing. Hope it wasn't too much trouble, but i'm glad you like it.
