There are conflicts between this mod and PAMAP in instancing naming rules. Instancing naming rules are such a confusing mess that I can't patch them. Ah so you just copied vanilla records and then added a record to rule set 0. So I copied all of ruleset #1 #2 #3 #4 and #5 from PAMAP into this mod. Hope I don't crash sense idk what I'm doing

Does it compatible with the Power Armor Overmodded Edition (PAOE) mod?

I do not know offhand, but based on what I am seeing on that mod's page, I don't think they are compatible.

Can't believe I never saw this mod before now. I've always wished I could add stabilization to my PA arm pieces and could never understand why that was never a vanilla option. This works perfectly - many thanks!

Thanks for this mod, it makes my power armor arm slots useful. Couple of things, though, 1) When I input the mod it doesn't append anything to the arm slot (Like if you add Tesla coils to the arm, in the menu it then says Power Armor (Material) (Tesla)) Is that planned? Also, is there a possibility of a compatibility patch with the More Power Armor Mods mod, so that I can put this in my second slot?

It *should* show Stabilized as a prefix. However, if you have any other mods that modify the PowerArmor_dn list, whichever mod that comes last in the load order gets the prefix, and the other one doesn't. I would try using FO4Edit to create a "merged patch" for my mod and More Power Armor Mods and see if the prefixes all play nice together. Work permitting, I might get the chance to install More Power Armor Mods myself this holiday weekend and see about creating a compatibility patch.

Have tried putting MPAM before this and it doesn't seem to care much, MPAM doesn't want it in the second slot. As for merging, I sadly am back to work, so I don't have much time to tinker around with FO4Edit.

Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to devote to modding lately. Need to try and sit down and look at how MPAM and this mod interact. Sorry about the delay - RL work has been VERY busy as of late!

    Any progress on recoil dampening?

I'm afraid not. Recoil is determined by the modifications that you have attached to your weapon - Bethesda doesn't appear to have made any allowances for other factors to affect recoil. This is why perks like Commando only effect hip-fire accuracy; they don't touch the recoil math at all and instead tighten up the size/pattern of the hip-firing weapon.

I see it says 2% per piece, is it the same amount as the normal armor mods? I didn't feel like it stabilized as much as the normal armor mods, but that was just my quick impression. Going to try and make a test to see how much difference it make to the total movement.

I'm wondering if the Power Armor version of such a mod might not be more powerful, perhaps a second more advanced version of the mod that requires more ranks to make. I would imagine the power armor arms would be much better at this sort of thing than normal armor pieces.

Either way, I love this idea. So fed up of power armor miscellaneous mods being useless to me

It's identical to the Stabilized mod for non-PA armor pieces. And just like the Stabilized mod, you'll need the first rank of the Sniper perk to *really* keep your aim steady.

I'm open to the idea of creating a higher-level set of gauntlets that negates the need for the Sniper Perk to keep aim steady, but I need to figure out how to properly implement/balance it first, and I want to get some other mods out before I start working on that.

Nice idea, I never put a misc upgrade on my PA because the only options were pretty much for melee builds and with unlimited ammo drops in bethesda games why would I go melee lol. TY for sharing.

You are very welcome! Mulling over making some more arm modifications for Power Armor, particularly a boost to carry weight and a mod that (as RedDog6911 suggested) dampens recoil. Maybe also a high-level mod that both stabilizes and recoil dampens.

I think you should make it reduce weapon recoil as well if possible. Realistically all power armor should reduce weapon recoil significantly anyway.

Good idea, power armour arms need more modifications that aren't dependent on blacksmithing.

Will it work with Worsin's PA mod?

I just installed both mods, and my mod DOES work with Worsin's PA mod. Stabilization Gauntlets showed up under the same categories/menus as the vanilla arm modification mods did. You'll more than likely need to my mod first and then Worsin's mod in the mod list, but aside from that, they seem to play together well!
