This is a conversion of Nuka World's caps aficionado, Operator Mags Black. Hope you like my vision of her.
Using one of my presets again which I think goes well with this character with some tweaks. I am including two versions:
1. Vanilla Hair - original new hairstyle for Mags 2. Alternate Hair - requires MiscHairStyle mod. You can find it in the web by searching for it.
* Please remember you will get a CTD if you use the Alternate Version without having the exact mod. Please use the Vanilla Version instead.
UPDATE: I uploaded a new version of the Vanilla without the Master reference for MiscHairsStyle. I accidentally kept it, please get the version if using Vanilla, thanks.
open up looksmenu, change her lip color to other than black go to Presets, hit X to save and name it. faceripper using the preset you saved on the MagsBlack.esp ,Transfer Face(Source is the saved Preset, Target Plugin is the MagsBlack.esp) black lips should be gone
Have you actually used those hairs in-game? The mod is over five years old, which might not matter, but it would be nice to know that it not only works fine, but looks fine in a real game too.
Hi, sorry did not see this message until now. The hairstyle should be available, it was introduced with the last dlc pack. I see it show up in my character creator.
Huge improvement, thanks a lot. Mind if i ask how you went about doing this? I've been trying to edit dixie using fo4edit and faceripper but face ripper doesn't seem to have any of the dlc npc formids. I have the looksmenu preset as well as the save game and have copied dixie in fo4edit to new override creating the esp for her but now i'm stuck as i'd usually just use faceripper like i did on vanilla npcs. Please if you could help me it would be huge as pretty much no one else has made make overs for nukaworld. Thank you!
Hi, thanks. Glad you like my Mags. It sounds like you did things right, but just to confirm the usual steps are as follows:
Step 1: Open FO4Edit and load just the NukaWorld esm. Once loaded, find the NPC Actor section and open it, then find the NPC you want to change, usually finding the name, in this case, Dixie. Once found, right click on it and choose Copy as New Override, some popup windows will come up, you basically need to just click in the New ESP checkbox and then name it something. I usually go with Original_Dixie for instance. Then close FO4Edit. You now have a new esp file with all the NPC information for Dixie residing in your Data folder.
Step 2: Run game, load a character save or create new game and enter LooksMenu in game with your character and create the character you want that will replace Dixie. Once done, make sure to create a new save file for that character.
Step 3: Open FaceRipper and select in the top dropdown, the save file you just created, which usually it opens up to the default saves location. Then for the second dropdown browse to the location of the Orginal_Dixie esp file you created, which will be in your Fallout4/Data folder.
Step 4: Hit OK, and FaceRipper will transfer you created character data into the Original_Dixie esp and create a new esp file with some numbers attached to the esp name, for example Original_Dixie12323.esp or something like that. Rename it to whatever you like.
NOTE: FaceRipper might alert/warn you of any master esp files if it detects dependancies. If that is the case, then you need to open up FO4Edit and load the Original_Dixie.esp file you created previously and other esp files you will want to add as Masters. Then right click on the Original_Dixie.esp file once loaded and choose the Add Masters... option and select the other esp files you loaded. Close and save the Original_Dixie.esp file. Then proceed to run Step 3 and Step 4 again.
Step 5: Add it to your Plugins.txt file usually in with all other character esp in your load order.
Hi, the base preset without the tweaks I did for this character is part of my preset collection mod, Picturesque Presets. You can find her there, preset name is Barbie. Thanks.
