Pauderek included a "how-to" in the visualreload.ba2 that can get you started.
In short, use FO4Edit to create an override for the weapon you want to patch in a new .esp. Mark the original weapon mod as a master, and then open your patch in the CK. Create moveable static objects for all magazine models. Note the keywords the magazine OMODs use. Then apply the visual reload weapon script to the weapon, matching keywords to your moveable statics. It can get a bit repetitive but it's pretty easy once you have the hang of it.
Can't get this to work, I have the visual reload mod along with your patch. is there a certain load order? Or do you need to install the 3 files in a certain order?
I don't think the load order matters, though in case it does I have Visual Reload early on, DOOM's SCAR and then my patch right after it. Does Visual Reload alone work for you?
Also, are you using a SCAR you had before you installed the patch?
