Hi I just recently got CBBE, Body slide, and Sirius armor. Though I can't seem to get the Sirius armor .12 and .16 to work with my body preset for CBBE and body slide. How do I go about getting it to work correctly ?
That seems to be specific to certain files on certain computers. Google 'bodyslide bad allocation error'
I'm hardly an expert on what goes on under the hood in bodyslide.
All I can say is uninstall both mods, restart, make a clean save, download and reinstall the mods, and try again. Ousnius, who created bodyslide, is VERY good at responding to requests, and he seems to know more about what's going on.
That was next on my list and I've already gotten permission from the author.
However...... The bodyslide files are done in an odd way and I'm getting some REALLY stretched underboob vertices in my initial attempts. You can see what I mean about the boobs in the pics for this conversion above. Notice it's scalloped under the boobs slightly? Well that's really exaggerated in the nanosuit conversion.
Well, it's made. I asked for volunteers to help in the Atomic Beauty thread and only got the two usual volunteers who already put their time for the community in. Neither of them had PCs at a high enough level to test all the features.
And -nobody- else volunteered the 20 minutes it would take for a free conversion. I literally got more requests to convert skimpy outfits than I got endorsements those two weeks.
Since you have a lot of experience, converting outfits to the Atomic Beauty shape, how would I go about converting CROSS Tactical Swimsuit or ARES Tsunami Underamor? Do you have plans to do either? I was trying to convert Cait's Corset as a starter project but I got a lot of distortion in the base shapes breasts and butt, do you know how to combat that? This outfit is on my list of things to download by the way. Just so you don't think I'm spamming. I use the Sirius armor quite frequently for male player and female companions.
ARES armor is actually next on my list and I'm in the midst of discussing permissions with the author.
Unfortunately he's had his work stolen before and he's pretty leery. We'll see how it shakes out. He's put a LOT of time into the mod from whence this outfit came, and I don't want to see it stolen either.
But to do it yourself isn't hard, just takes some persistence and trial and error. Part of the problem with most vanilla outfits (Cait's corset) is they're low poly-count while AB is high poly count. When you stretch something with low poly over a large area, distortion and clipping is bound to occur because you have such few vertices in a large area.
3d blender can increase poly counts and it's a pretty painless operation, but again, it does require trial and error and persistence to learn.
There are a LOT of 'convert CBBE to anything' guides on the intergoogles out there. Step by step: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25180-unofficial-bodyslide-2outfit-studio-tutorials/
The tutorials leave out the bit about hitting selecting 'conform all' just before you save, but otherwise they're pretty accurate. Another tip is don't use the expand mesh brush for anything but spot checks or it starts to look lumpy. Work through the sliders.
rpuresteel and I have been coordinating what we convert so we don't duplicate work and waste time (I redid his GITS stuff by accident b/c I didn't know he was working on it). He's been a huge help ever since I uploaded my first conversion. It also helps that he likes more classic and steampunky outfits while I dig the scifi stuff, so we're attracted to different things. So if you DO plan on seriously giving this a shot and uploading to the community, let us both know what outfit before you start so we don't go on and duplicate it.
Thanks. That's what I've been doing and learning as I go with the different videos. I figured that outfits would be a good way to get my feet wet with modding before tackling the Creation Kit. I wanted to do CROSS Tactical Swimsuit because the base outfit would be good for showing off the muscle definition. I'd have to get more fluent in the Bodyslide/Outfit Studio and make it for myself before getting permissions and uploading. I'll definitely coordinate if I can figure it out.
Last tip, I keep a .nif of the base AB body type on the side for conversions AFTER you do the initial slide to the right and when you load it back up onto an AB slider set: I load up the body along with the outfit to be fine-tuned, but don't include it in the 'conform selected'. I then blank out the reference shape and now use the outfit/body as a guide to know when I've expanded enough to too much or whatever - when you exclude it from conforming, it doesn't change with the outfit sliders like the reference shape normally does, so you have a solid reference.
So step by step, as I'm going through rPureSteel's article at: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/282/? I'm at the part already where I am pulling and pushing the mesh for the CROSS Tactical Swimsuit. What you are saying is basically, before the step I'm at, delete the CBBE reference, add the default Atomic Beauty shape, but DO NOT include the AB shape with conforming to sliders? That way when I play with the sliders only the outfit itself reshapes? I was leaving them conform and reshaping the mesh with each slider set to maximum.
That's what I'm saying, yeah, even before you do the push pull. The 'Atomic Beauty' in green is the reference shape, it will always be conformed and always change. I load up another 'outfit' which is the base Atomic Beauty body nif. It's in white, labeled 'Atomic Beauty' and it can either be selected to conform or not conform, unlike the green reference shape. I then blank out the reference shape (not delete), do my work around the new outfit which won't alter shape, so I know when enough stretch or shrink is enough.
Finally, I delete this dummy 'outfit' AB shape before I save, as I don't want it in the final product, it's just a temp reference tool.
Don't forget to 'conform all' before you save or you'll just end up changing the reference shape in bodyslide.
The conversion already exists: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13675/?
It's just a simple matter of assigning them a reference in outfit studio and saving them properly. The program generates the bodyslide files for you during the process.
You'd be able to do it faster yourself than waiting for me.
Well allright, here's hoping theres not any morphing, last time i tried to create bodyslide for an armor for skyrim it ended up reeeeaaaallllyyy sloppy.

Any chances of finishing the other parts ?
Please say there'll be an update for the 1.6 expansion
Can't figure it out for the life of me.

So it sits on my hard drive and there it stays.

Is there a chance you will convert the fortaleza armor atomic beauty (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13675/?) to bodyslide too ?
