I can't quite explain how important this mod is for me, the vanilla skeletons look like brand-new plastic ones for a biology classroom. Not only do these look like skeletons of a nuclear wasteland, but you also went and fixed the terrible torn clothing textures. Seriously just an all around fantastic must have mod. Thank you!
I don't know if the mod author is still active, but here's hoping: Any chance of getting this (and your gore retex mod) packaged in a BA2 for performance purposes?
Thanks for the retexture. The new skeletons look awesome. Also glad that you added the bleached version as well. Kinda hard to choose between the two because I really like the default look, but also understand that lying under the sun would bleach the bones after couple of hundred of years. Wish Bethesda had added 2 types of skeletons. Outdoor and indoor types. Would love to use the default look on skeletons that have been inside buildings or sewers and the bleached look on skeletons found outside under the sun. Too bad this isn't possible..
Very, very nice job! I've been using this for a long time now, and this one actually kinda makes me disgusted everytime I see skeletons laying around wherever I go. The vanilla skeletons didn't really have an effect on me, but this does, and I appreciate that.
I sometimes forget to endorse some files, so here ya go, buddy!
Could you make a sun bleached version? I live in Arizona and have seen many skeletons out in the desert, and after years of sitting in the hot sun, the bones are bleached white. I realize this takes place in a much cooler climate than here, but after a nuclear war of such magnitude (not to mention the initial blast of the bomb), I would expect at least some degree of bleaching to occur. Especially after two centuries of laying in the open sun. Thanks for the consideration.
Exactly, any bones left in the sun will be bleached.I used to hunt for animal bones, feathers, antlers, carcass's and on top of the ground they were always bleached white and yellowish brown on the underside, yet those i found while digging appeared similar to those in your screens.
I have to agree: As an example, here's some bones that have been exposed for a long time: https://anthropologynet.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/weather-at-gobero-niger.jpg
When I was in Peru this summer I saw bones which had been exposed to the surface by looters only 3 or 4 years ago which were already been bleaches and were badly cracked. Most skeletons would simply be gone by 200 years, and those which survived would be utterly bleached.
I'm not saying it would necessarily make a difference, and I'm certainly no expert on bones, but don't forget that these bones are supposed to have been severely irradiated and possibly flash 'cooked', both of which may have resulted in giving the bones that 'cookies too long in the oven' look
