Not sure if this is possible, but any chance you could virtually link the results of the inventory search to your PipBoy? I know its a behemoth to run all the time, but if you could just save the results to your pipboy ... dunno about anyone else, but my real life memory isn't the greatest, so I've taken to taking a screenshot of the results, which results in alt+tabbing when I visit various junk dealers hunting for the components I am low on, and alt+tab causes in-game screen resolution glitches
Short answer is.... no My original plan was for this to be a Holotape you would use on the Pip-Boy. This is impossible. Modders cannot access Text Replacement on the Pip-Boy screen, because Bethesda decided it shouldn't have a proper Terminal reference, which you need for text replacement.
The only possibility of running this on the PB would be to make a Flash interface version, where you would run the silly thing from your arm and use "the workshop I'm standing in" as the starting point for the links. I'd love to do that some day, if I learn Flash... and can afford Adobe prices for a hobby... >.>
That would also let us tag components for search right from inventory, which was my original dream.
