Hello i cant seem to build the dummy bot is there a requirement? i have automatron and automatron unlocked so i can build robots but dummy bot is not showing up in special menu
I hope that this will be helpfull as a something to start from. Make a placeable via workshop protectron bot with legs, chest and head. Making it uses only those mods, no scrap. Since we all have spare protectron parts, we can make without a problem. It can be named as base bot if you want and to make it moddable (if it isn't from start), check this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11976? as it makes pre-made-robot-npcs moddable. I believe it may help you learn how this works and to use it in your own mod.
Made the Dummy Bot in the settlement workshop, Then built a bot. everything up until that point worked good, but when I tried to assign it I couldn't assign it. The only commands that I had available were to store and scrap.
This actually looks amazing. When you get it to work, it'll be the best on nexus. It's what Automatron should have added. Maybe a Robotic Expert requirement and Maybe Total Hack mag perk as well?
I think you are over complicating by suggesting a perk/magazine requirement. Adding either wouldn't have a positive effect, only add a gate. I can't see why you would need a perk in order to start from nothing, perhaps a perk so that you can start from various base robots (mr. handy, protectron, etc).
As yet I haven't played with it, given that it is early alpha. With the amount of mods I'm running I don't have an ideal setup to bug test, I'm having issues enough with Automatron robots without the mod.
Couple of things I would suggest is: 1. A change log. Let's everyone know what has been fixed in each version. 2. A section in the description that lists known issues. So that people can look at what is happening and give feedback on what they notice is happening. I would also be more willing to test if I knew some of the issues to expect and how buggy the mod is, in it's current state is. 3. Slight clean-up of the description page.

Okay, this is rude just so you know. First off, the mods do two different things. This lets you craft a dummy bot to build upon, the other makes Protectrons free to craft. Second, advertising another mod is plain disrespectful to the mod author. Especially because you just dumped a link in the comments section like you did. I see this is your first ever post but please be more considerate in the future. It's one thing to answer a question if someone asks for an alternative, if the mod compliments that mod, or if the mod is apparently abandoned. However none of that applies here.
