**BACK FROM THE DEAD UPDATE 1.2.0** EVERYONE! I'm proud to announce that, while working on another mod, I stumbled across the solution to the "floating water" bug that has plagued this mod almost since the beginning! The new version fixes the problems with the script. I am pleased to announce that through my testing, I have been UNABLE to recreate the bug in the new version!
This update will require a clean install of the mod in order to kill any existing "bucket-waters". *NOTICE*, clean installing comes with the caveat that any settlement items placed by this mod will be lost, and you'll have to rebuild them. I will leave the "manual" way to remove the floating waters without a clean install at the bottom. I would honestly recommend clean installing though...the manual way is a pain in the butt) Clean install instructions: -Uninstall the version you have -Open the game. Save. -Install the new version. -Start placing your Feed/Water troughs.
That's it! The water will appear in the water trough when you place it, and should never self-duplicate again!
*Manually killing floating water (if you didn't do a clean install)* If you don't clean install, any existing water-planes will still have the bug, so they will still appear "thick" and if you ever move the water trough they will remain floating. To manually kill floating water: 1)Store the water trough in the workbench 2)BACKUP YOUR SAVE (we're going to be marking things for deletion, you want to save in case you mess up) 3)position the camera so that the floating water is in the center of the view, nothing else is in front of it. 4)Open up the console and click on the water. You can tell that it's the water because the first 2 numbers of the reference should be the load order position of the mod (i.e. mod position 49 will look like 490xxxxx etc) 5)type markfordelete 6)type disable 7)If there still appears to be a plane there (likely) that's because the bug itself was that every time the cell reloaded, a new instance of the water was placed. So if you've visited the settlement a lot...well you'd have to repeat steps 4-6 for each plane.
Send thoughts and prayers, I accidentally lost my main save file (survival, so nothing closer than 60 hours prior...) due to the evil demon known as Steam Cloud Sync" while checking a bug...
HOLY CRAP HOT FILES! Thank you for the kind words and support!
**UPDATE 1.1.0: There is now a version of the Feed Trough available with lower poly razorgrain bales for those concerned with settlement budget. Due to positive feedback, I have also made my tato basket and razorgrain bale (high and low-poly) meshes individually craftable objects (same tab as the troughs).
**The Script hotfix update file is no longer needed!**
To Do list: -add snap points to the bales so they can be stackable (never done snapping points before, may take some research) -fix the normal maps on the hay bales (or lack thereof). Should make the low poly versions a little better looking _______________________________________________ Question for the users of this mod: Would you like to see my tato basket and razorgrain bales made independently construct-able objects for decorating your settlements? If I get enough interest I'll make forms for them in the next update.
I know its something im doing wrong. But, what catagory are these supposed to show up in? I had to do a fresh install due to some issues and i cant find these anymore.
This is a good mod.My grandparents had cows, they ate grass and drank from ponds. Most of my settlements have grass but no water, so I use the water one when they need a watering hole or I use both if they need that, This mod is very useful for my mental well being. Thanks.
This is a lovely little mod. Highly recommend these sorts of detai - enhancing additions to the game.
I was thinking, how about combining your other brahmin trough mod (the wooden one) with this, into an all-in-one package which would allow players to craft both of them?
Would add even more variety to settlements than having only one or the other.

Very practical.
Thank you.
Endorsed, and kudos to you....
@ Mopotter , yes it is useful, I used to hate seeing brahim sucking on air from troughs because bethe was too lazy have food show in them ...
