I do not understand your motivation. I know lots of people who are capable of building fusion reactors and skyscrapers out of nothing but tin cans and wiring, yet are completely stumped when it comes to putting a few pieces of wood together for a fence and painting it white. Makes perfect sense to me....

Thanks for this mod, its a good idea - I'll endorse once the time limit allows.

Well, there are many reasons. Mine being that I am re-creating Sanctuary Hills to its original glory and there were ALOT of picket fences.  I am not actually playing a round of actual game-play but am in design mode creating a blueprint to upload once its done. So Hell Yeah did I need this since you need it to unlock the picket fence in your build menu. 7 years later since it was created and I have just endorsed it, for this reason it saved me having to go off and find them when Im NOT in game mode but design mode!

I agree this mod makes sense, while doing the same for other mags or bobble-heads would not. Endorsed.

I won't be doing that in this mod, for a few of reasons:

      1. This mod is very specific to these particular magazines.
      2. This mod doesn't require any DLC, and I intend to keep it that way.
      3. I will likely be looking at separate mods for the DLC's.

I will keep this in mind though when I play around with the Automatron DLC.

Thank you for this! While I appreciate the "treasure hunt" approach to seeking things out in the wild, it is really frustrating when playing a "build" play-through to have to orient my game around going to certain places, just so I can give my settlers some nice lawn furniture...

Sure, I could just "cheat" and add them via console, but somehow, this seems more "fair."

Anyway, thanks again - much appreciated.

Thanks. I generally feel that most things should be available to craft early on. It makes more sense to me to rather put restrictions based on relevant perks than having an easter egg hunt. Some magazines feel appropriate to "stumble upon" though, like the wasteland survival guide.

Having said that, I still want it to feel like it makes sense in the world. In this case, the craftables are cosmetic mostly, so it doesn't feel like their needs to be any restrictions. It also makes sense that the people who hid in this shelter may have had a subscription to a specific magazine, so it makes sense that they might have a few lying around. Thus, it felt like an appropriate place to put them.
