    I had to change the way this mod was build, so I basically started anew.
    First there were some mistakes discovered and I had to fix them.
    Then I found out maintaining one .esp wasn't doable anymore due to the sheer size of the number of different variables when working with one .esp.
    So we now have Modules. Pick the mods you want MARS to cover for one or more Modules and go!
    Depending which mods you want to be covered you'll get one or two .esp
    ( MARS I.esp and/or MARS II.esp )

    Thanks for the mod...this is really cool.

    I had tried to separate the food and drink and ran into the subfilter limit.....to get around it, I just removed the recyclables roll up.
    Having bottles in the junk section, was a fair tradeoff for me, who wanted food and drink seperate.

    Thank you very much for this mod! I learned a lot!

    First things first...awesome mod.

    Would it possibel for you to add R2K's Gameplay Mods also from Registrator2000. There is a Quick Swap.esp that adds a QuickSwap item similar to Outfit switcher but for guns.

    Is it possible to do the same with misc section so gunpowder, primers etc are sorted into a rollup

      hmmm, well ....When Gambit77 made VIS-G he used up all the slots to make rollups, I had to free up two ( if you use the Stealth Boys version ) slots to even make a MARS version.
      I can't see anymore rollups I can use to make that happen...blame Gambit77

    Great idea but sadly it does not work on my end, i have vals sorting mod and def UI, in your installer i selected bullet time, quick save, and weapons holster but its not working and yes i have all the mods needed. i let you pictures fist is from my pip boy aid, and second from FO4Edit esp and its not overwriting its masters.
    any more info you need tell me i really look forward for this mod.
    Also instead of lite ui I use HideUI mod that was release first.

      same here, I like the concept but I am load heavy as it is. I really need only one more esp or esm, I keep hoping that someone will revive the skyrim esp bundler/combiner although I suspect that only those peeps like Elianora and DDProd have the withall to combine like that.

      To make this a one .esp mod you must understand this:
      To have only one .esp with 4 mods to cover I need to create 15 different .esp to choose from.
      That's not that huge....

      But every new mod I add to be covered will double that amount of .esp and add +1
      So that makes a total of 31 .esp for 5 mods.
      The next one will make it 63 .esp, then 127, 255, 511, 1023....
      1023 different .esp to cover 10 mods... That's quite a lot and not doable.

      So now instead of only one .esp you get two .esp... maybe... depending on what mods you have....
      Maybe three if I let it cover 12 mods in the future.
      I understand your load order is quite full, but one or two extra ?

      I'm sorry my mod has turned out to be disappointment to you.
      Hope you can still manage.

      Keep checking back, I'll try to make it a one .esp mod again some day...
      If I learn how to do that

    You do not mention that one of those 4 mods are actually required. The installer does not allow you to continue if you do not select, SURVIVAL QUICK SAVE, iHUD (LITE), FO4 Hotkeys, or Bullet Time. And the installed esp is dependant on one of those masters, but none of them are really required for this mod to function? I am not sure why they are tied to it. I understand why Valdacil's Item Sorting and DEF_UI would be, but not the others.

      First of all thank you for downloading M.A.R.S. , much appreciated !

      I think you are missing the point of this mod.
      M.A.R.S. creates a roll up for those pesky items in your PipBoy's Aid tab ( as shown in the first before-after picture ) .
      If you use all 4 of the mods mentioned you will have 6 items in your Aid tab cluttering up the place ( the before side of the picture ). With M.A.R.S. that problem is solved ( middle and right side of that picture ).

      So yes, at least one of those 4 mentioned mods is required, because let's face it, if you don't have at least one of those mods installed M.A.R.S. would not be necessary because you wont have any items to clutter up your PipBoy's Aid tab.

      Perhaps I was not clear in my understanding or what I was meaning (I was also pretty tired). I apologize for not knowing whats going on. Basically, Gopher covered and cleared that up and suggested what I thought the mod already did, the mod was not created to be universal.

      I use Survival Options mod, so Survival Quick Save is not needed, and thats all of those listed 4 I would have used. That is untill Gopher makes iHud Full. But there are other mods I have that make those tapes for configuration menus (True Storms, Beantown, Dont Call Me Settler, maybe a couple more not sure atm). I had thought All of those would have been wrapped up tidy.

      Maybe I was a little unclear with describing what mods are covered.
      I will change the description so that it will be clear it will only cover the mods listed on the description page.

      In the near future I will expand on the number of mods covered with M.A.R.S.

      I understand what Gopher says and I understand what you say.
      I would like for my mod to do just that.

      But there's the catch:
      This is my very first mod and I have NO idea how to do what you guys want.

      Please keep tracking M.A.R.S. because with or without help I might figure out how to implement what you want.

      If you use Valdacil's Item Sorting and DEF_UI you will notice that there is a roll up for "Settings" holotapes where all those tapes go to.
      If one or more settings holotapes are not put in that roll up it's because the mod author hasn't put the needed tag/keyword on the holotape so it will be missed by the search script.

      Simply adjusting that in FO4Edit will do the trick.
      I believe fadingsignal has mentioned this in one of his comments over at True Storms.

      And there my mod was born because of the lack of tags/keywords I added them

      Would have to check again to make certain, I think half of them are added into the rollup. It also has all the tapes on 2 different tabs for some reason. I think the base game may have been like that too, I dont remember but its silly and redundant. Valdacil's has a few options, I may have messed something up that needs fine tuned as well. I just hope F4SE gets a healthy expansion so people can dig into the game more, I miss the MCM with its tidiness.

    I am away on cation right now so I can't check the esp, but rather than making the mod require the others as a master could you not script the functionality into a single esp that detects compatible mods and adds items accordingly? Basically it removes the need to have an esp as a master to be able to access it. That way you don't need to rerun the installer if your load order changes?

      And Wow again at the functionality... I see where you are getting at, and you are absolutely right ; that would be the best way to handle this.
      Only problem is, I have no idea how to implement that....

      We're the same age you and I, but unlike you this is my first ever mod, and although it looks like a very simple mod I had to put in blood sweat and tears to make it work since I had no idea what I was doing... I learned a lot, but not that much....


      But yeah, I will look into this and if someone wants to help out an old man : I'm right here

      Let's see if I get this straight : that single .esp would have to detect if certain mods are present each time the game starts so that when the load order has changed after the last time I played the .esp automatically changes into the right one for the new load order ?
      Is that even possible ?

      I think I can make it detect mods during installation with the fomod installer, but if the load order changes afterward I still would have to rerun the installer and let the fomod do it's thing...

      @DarkDominion, don't despair, you've already made it this far! Congrats on your first release!

      The best way to implement this idea is to look at and reverse-engineer how others have done it. There are ways to detect (in-game using Papyrus) if other mods are installed, and take action accordingly. There are ways to make a snip of code execute only once during initialization, or game load.

      Learning scripting is a bit of a long road, but you're already on your way.

      Reverse engineering is how I did this too.
      I've been messing around with FO4Edit for some time....
      I've been looking at FOMOD installers for some time....

      But I wouldn't recognize a papyrus script even if I stumbled over it..lol

      I'll try my best to learn what is needed

    Doesn't work for me. Fallout 4 fully updated, season pass with all DLCs installed, Valdacil's item sorting and DEF UI both installed, and it does create «Food» and «Drinks» section, but some food and drink items are still in the Aid container, and there's no «MARS» container in Aid section.

    Perhaps I should mention that I use other mods that may be the case for this mod not working; I use BRUTALITY rebalance mod and some food&drink rebalance mods which names I don't remember now.

    UPD: checked load order with LOOT just in case, appears to be fine also. Still, the mod doesn't work as intended, guess there're some mods incompatibility issue.

      Do you have either of the four mods mentioned on the description page?
      Quick Save, iHUD, FO4Hotkeys, Bullet Time ?

      M.A.R.S. works if one or more of those mods are installed because that's the whole point of this mod.
      Creating a solution for those mods.

      But the Food, Drinks, and Aid sections are in the "Before". Is that from a different mod or from this one?

      The icons you see for food, aid and drink are a combination from two mods :

      Valdacil's Item Sorting and DEF_UI

      I highly recommend installing them, very handy mods and necessary for M.A.R.S.
