I wasn't around for a long while. I saw i missed some questions here. I just wanna say, i am sorry. Nowadays i am actively playing the game and i will be around.
Hi Sonogu, Very cool mod but, im also have a problem with it, there was a guy who was with same mistake, i did all like u said but you have a BaseHumanMale Folder, and Unique Player mod has a PlayerHumanMale folder, please help me with this problem, if i drop files in basehumanmale everybody has tattoes (including me) and if i do like u said, nothing happens, nobody has tattoe (including me) ((((( Please help Thank u)
I would personally install unique character, then copy the DDS files from this mod into that one and overwrite. Then your character will have the tattoos.
If you just install it without unique character, it seems all males get the same tattoos instead of just your character.
Some armor mods don't have a transparency so it may not show up on everything. For example, I have an armor mod that has short sleeves, but I cannot see the tattoos as the forearm is part of the sleeve itself. So it covers up the real arm with a fake one.
@ CEFranklin, i did this method and they still aren't showing up (even when my sole survivor is in his chonies) no matter how many times i dl and use fresh .dds files from this mod. I'm only using other 3 other mods that shouldn't conflict w the unique character method bc they are only hair, face-only makeup, and the other is a clothing mod that the mod author used in their photos. could it be it's just outdated? the files also don't show a proper thumbnail like the og hand and body .dds files
Mod works just fine, after 4 years break last week i installed FO4 and modded it, although i already had the mod in my pc, i didn't use it, downloaded from nexus to ceheck it, my character has the tattoo now, no problems at all.
tysm for getting back to me! where is the "unique player" folder/path supposed to be/start? i searched my game files after using vortex to install unique player and it's not showing up. i'm definitely missing it in my file path:
Well, folder location mainly depends on two things;
1) if you are not using mod manager, it changes according to your root folder location look for data/textures.
2) if you are using a mod manager like mo2 than the location is set by the manager installation, you should find unique character folder in mods folder.
Hello, Im interested in re creating a character look I saw in someones screenshot, and in one of your screenshots, you have a grey outfit on with a black n white neck bandanna, can I ask what mod/s is that ? is it from elianora's clothing mod ?
Unfortunately not working for me.. I've downloaded and activated Unique Player in NMM, then manually downloaded this mod and placed the files into Textures\Actors\Character\BaseHumanMale\ and chose to overwrite. My character has black arms, neck and back. I can only see my characters face. Someone please help, I really want these tattoos.
Hello, do you have all the files below in your directory? If you don't, you must have them all. Also please try redownloading the file, may be the existing one is corrupted. Also after downloading my file manually you can install it with NMM...
Hi sonogu, thanks for the quick reply. After downloading Unique Player, it adds those files into the directory. When I downloaded your mod, there were 2 files in the folder. These are BaseMaleBody_d.DDS and BaseMaleHands_d.DDS. I copied them and pasted them to the directory that Unique Player made. It asked me to overwrite the files with the same names with your ones, I chose yes. And it didn't show up in game. Am I missing something else? I tried installing your mod through NMM after manually downloading them (the big green plus symbol - Add mod from file), and it didn't work. It gives me an error saying it can't be added.

If your folder structure is same the mod must be working well, i am using the mod at the moment and it works.
Good Luck)))

As CEFranklin said if don't use unique character mod all the male NPCs will have the tattoo. If you use it, only your character will have it.
As for installation, after installing Unique Character put my dds files in to the following folder;
Unique Player\textures\actors\character\PlayerHumanMale

my file path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\actors\character\PlayerHumanMale

Also thank you for the kudos, I have 11 mods with nearly 16000 downloads but i have 28 kudos so far (yours was 28th) and it meant a lot :)
P.S. drawings are not my own, i just combined them together in a tattoo form, so credit goes to original artists.
EDIT: Nevermind, just downloaded unique player and moved the textures from their to the required folder
Installation was about as easy as it gets.
Thanks for the work man!
