Yeah, I don't know man. Seems like a waste of talent. I really loved ALL his mods, starting from him patching up the Castle so well and the RAMPS, I just find a use for his ramps EVERYWHERE lawls. I hope he comes up or becomes unbanned. I don't know what it's about, but the Nexus modding community is more hurt by an absence of such raw, unbridled talent. I'm nearly done with my own mod, but my amateurish effort pales in comparison to this guy's productivity. Sheesh! Amazing! And it sounds like he was able to get original voice talent for the Tiny Tina or someone with very same voice. Incredibel!
I think the stuff he was doing was pretty impressive considering it all came out pre-creation kit. If he was still on here who knows what cool stuff he could've made?
Good modders tend to develop a superiority complex. But to be completely fair, a lot of users are ungrateful, whiny and entitled which might fuel that kind of mindset. It is quite off-putting for other users who respect, appreciate and support works of any calibre.
Because Nexus is run by leftists and they like to keep their ToS above profit or the site's purpose, so f*#@ if the mod is good, and if the site's purpose is to have mods, the important thing is to be woke stupid.
This is exactly why Nexus loses the best game mods over time. The only reason Nexus exists today is because it shares a small percentage of the profits with the modders, as soon as another platform appears that allows this, everyone will quickly migrate there. Currently the best modders have their own pages on Patreon or something like that, with mods released only to supporters.
Mod author: I read that post about you breaking ToS repeatedly. I'm happy to say that one comment was so correct, I had to dig to find out why you were banned, Darren. Ironic you share the same name as my narcisstic father and behave exactly like he did. Except my dear ole daddy got help and he is a nice, great father now. I sincerely hope Nexus banning you has been beneficial for your mental health and that you got help for whatever was plaguing you all those years back. I did not however have to dig to find your mod here at all. So yes, Mr. Darren, you were remembered by your mods, not your long-winded narcissistic, word-salad diatribes insulting your fellow man who gave you that big head to begin with.
Now to download your mod and see about making a peeing mod or finding one so I can pee on your furniture. LMAO! Weirdo.
For all the people saying this guy shouldn't have been banned. Just open this mod in xedit and scroll through the activators sections, for example. He was a terrible person. His mods may have been great, but he was not. He was simply the worst.
Brilliant mod, been using it for a loooong time and it still works beautifully, has some very nice settlement items many of which I often use in my game, well done to the author who's apparently banned for some reason.
been using this for a while as it's bloody awsome, but recently came across an issue that I am sure is just a conflict tween it and another, but lately about half the time I go to open this mod from WS menus, CTD.
Does anyone know what mods can/will conflict w this one?
Update - tried Buffout and got a log, and while DDP AIO throws a lot of errors, it seems like it's also related to Classic Holstered Weapons. Not sure how exactly they're interacting. Someone on the CHW page reported similar issues with CHW and a vertibird mod...
I was going to come in here and "vocalize" how much of a prick he sounded...caught the red banned right away and just..laughed. Enjoy your day everyone.
So way back in the day I use to use the old craftable/stackable stuff DDProductions made and that was genuinely all I needed and wanted. Then I switched machines and had to redownload everything and remod my game. When I found out they were rolled into this AIO with annoying extra stuff I genuinely did not want to download and use up storage space, let alone play the questline (I don't really download quest mods) I just said "okay, won't use 'em any more then" and that was honestly that. I had no idea on people pestering and being apparently abusive to the creator to split the mod back up so they could at least have the options. I get why they put it into an AIO and I don't really disagree with the reason behind that even if I wanted to just use what I wanted to. What I don't get is what happened in the drama and I really don't NEED to know. What I do know is the dude's banned, the mods I wanted are still technically inaccessible if I don't want to download all the other stuff and I haven't found alternatives to the craftable pillars, bridges, ramps, rails, solar panels, glass stuff supports and animated water wells. If anyone does know of alternatives for those parts of the AIO let me know.
As for alternatives.. I have yet to find any. Im freshly going through stuff to see. I think im just going to get this one, since im planning on using most of the stuff in here anyway, and theres no annoyingly designed quest thing that injects pointless freemium currency into the game.
Also if you were curious, the TL;DR of his story is, he treated the nexus userbase like trash if they even uttered a single criticism against his work, no matter how small, or how nicely it was put. Nexus admin tolerated him for a bit, because he was pretty big at the time, and brought in lots of users. Then he did a big bad.. i forget what it was.. a newbie admin banned him, then resigned shortly after, and DDP went on a massive long hate streak as he tried to tear literally everything down, failed, and then fell into obscurity. Thats pretty much it really.
yep thats basically what happened. it was fun at the beginning, and entertaining to some degree.. until it wasnt fun, or funny, anymore. And I agree with OP.. I wasn't thrilled with all the extras added to the AIO.. the whole "tina's cookie-pocalypse" or whatever it was called.. at that point the whole mod just became a meme.. I initially took that mod and started manually removing all of the extra stuff, but it was really tedious, there were so many things added and integrated into the mod, I eventually just called it quits and made my own AIO version using merge scripts and manual editing.
It's curious that the files are all still up if he actually is banned
Couldn't you just download manually and then only insert the files you actually want? I pretty new to modding, but I wonder why you couldn't isolate that packages you actually want

There are tutorials that'll help immensely on Youtube.
Once you know how to deal with it, it's actually quite easy.
Every time I scroll through the main categories in workshop mode, I get a CTD when passing by Cookie Menu.
xEdit isn't showing any conflicts. I'm wondering about a bad transform or mesh file that might be getting used for the menu icon, but not sure.
