Had this mod installed on a new save, reached Blind Betrayal, picked up Danse back, got the "BoS enemy" alert. Just to be sure went to Boston Airport - we were attacked instantly. I RELOADED A SAVE to before going to the Boston Airport. Instead, I took Danse to a BoS-free settlement and dissmissed him there. I DIDN'T GET THE ALERT that BoS is now cool with me. I went to the Boston Airport with Cait and Dogmeat, as expected we were attacked on sight.
Now I will be trying to figure out how to stop BoS from trying to kill me and my guys. I intend to blow the Prydwen up anyway, but it would be nice to be able to access it before doing so. D: I will edit the comment if I will find out how to fix that + after blowing up the Prydwen to add how Danse is doing then.
Edit 1: BoS hostility was fixed by waiting/sleeping for 3 in-game days. I also moved this mod to the bottom in MO2.
I am going to trigger Blind Betrayal right after I get into the Institute (console commands) so I don't have to become enemies just to break the bad news to Danse, reasoning is I am running Subversion & AR2 and think Danse is chill and would be a good guard for future endeavors within the Commonwealth and the other world spaces.
Thanks for this mod. I was worried about the other mod(s) that are available to keep Danse and I gave this one a try as it only touches a few scripts and no ESP.
I used this for a play-through using the Synthetic Player mod.
I installed this mod before Blind Betrayal (near bottom of load order). It worked great! I was able to keep Danse as a follower and together we wiped out the BoS (except Haylen ... made my own patch to make her essential and remove her from BoS factions / packages after Blind Betrayal). He is still a follower and I can dismiss him to a settlement and grab him again.
is that patch of your available? I'd like to keep her alive. I hate having to kill haylen when I betray the brotherhood, she's a good person amongst a pack of wolves.
I second this. Can you make that patch available? I hate the idea of killing Haylen but Maxson and Kells violent departure from existence is an essential part of any play-through I do.
Seconded, thirded, whatever! Like many it seems, I like Scribe ?Haylen & really don't enjoy the idea of killing her off thanks to the questline but don't have the editing/modding skills to pull this off.
So would you please consider making your patch publicly available @icannotaim?
To anyone wanting Haylen alive, LarannKiar has made a mod where you can immersively and all recruit her to a settlement and have her leave the brotherhood.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS MOD, YOU'RE A LIFESAVER. I was about to cry when I realized I couldn't have the Railroad ending and still have Danse by my side (since I romanced him). THANK YOU SO MUCH.
This mod didn't work for me, I installed it before completing Liberty Prime, and after completing Blind Betrayal (and Danse's affinity resetting), the brotherhood are still hostile to Danse and shoot him on sight despite this mod being installed and active. I used Vortex manager to install. Most of my other mods are Sim Settlements 2 related, and as far as I know I have no other mods that affect companion behavior. Very disappointing.
The description says that if you get kicked out of the Brotherhood before installing the mod, it doesn't work. So I'd assume that completion of that quest before installing is the issue.
