Thank god this exists. The recruitment beacon was the middle child in this game in terms of radio. It just played the same 3 songs nobody likes so thank god this mod actually makes it unique and gives the player a reason to actually listen into it. Please make mods like this, I will gladly make own mod like this if you teach me how to, I just need more of this in my life

2023 and still using this amazing mod. Hope when they re-release fallout 4 for the final time this mod makes it over there as well.

Could you add this into its own station or put it in Diamond city radio? Good work btw

Thanks for making this. There are a bunch of mods for the main radio stations in this game, but at the time of writing this is the only one that transforms the Settlement Recruitment Beacon broadcast into something that is actually listenable-to.

I've never heard music on the settlement recruitment beacon. Before or since adding mods. I wasn't even aware there WAS music on it.

Okay let me explain how to install this mod because the instructions are very unclear.

    1. Download the file.
    2. Unzip the .tar file.
(You should now have a Data folder)
    4. Go into the Data folder and copy the 'Sound' file.
    3. Go to your Fallout 4 Data folder. If you are using Steam it should be something like Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data
    5. Paste the Sound folder into the data folder. If you see stuff like 'Fallout4- Animations.ba2' and 'Fallout4-Geometry.csg' you are in the correct place.
    6. Now, go to 'This PC/Documents/My Games/Fallout4/' and open the Fallout4.ini file.
    7. Find 'sResourceDataDirsFinal', it should be under [Archive]. You should see 'sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\'
    8. Replace that line with this line 'sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, SOUND\
(The instructions say to use MUSIC, but use Sound since the folder name is sound!
    9. Save file and run the game.

If you did the first settlement quest, you should have a radio broadcasting station already for 'Sunshine Tiding Co-Op', this works for any settlement radio, once the signal gets lost you can't listen to the music. So have many settlements !

Is it possible to add music tracks to all the different radio stations? I'm interested in changing some of the local stations, like the military broadcasts and the distress beacons, rather than the global stations.Ideally I'd like to create an offshore 'pirate radio station' for raiders if I can find a convenient signal in game to modify, at least until the GECK comes out and lets us add new stations. I'm working on a script for an announcer right now, but I need to know all the appropriate constraints I have to work within, and I'm illiterate when it comes to modding.

Can you make this into a separate radio station?

I think I get it, from the context, but the description is pretty unclear :/
