Of the two high quality claymores here on the Nexus for FO4 I prefer yours, but it seems a little buggy, at least in my build. I'm seeing a weird noise pattern on all the metal bits. Probably has something to do with a wetness shader? The sword also seems to slide up in your grip when blocking. Wondering if you or anyone else is experiencing this? Beautiful model and fun little encounter to get it though.
Fantastic mod! This is an absolutely beautiful sword. In fact, it's a shame someone hasn't already requested your permission to port it to Skyrim! Or have they?
Almost a criminally underrated mod - me, I use legendary modifications, so I may have put the world series effect on it - I like randomly wrecking someone who is blocking, and that does a lovely job of it. Still, fantastic sword, the animations work... shockingly well. Now, if I could just find a way to wear it on my back, I'd be a happy berserker.
Edit: As a note, one of the most powerful aspects of this weapon is its reach. Its ability to reach out and touch someone is incredible.
Edit Edit: So yeah, I notice your concern about lore friendliness being a "maybe" in the description. Right, so, I personally have known a number of swordsmiths, at least one of whom was occasionally in Boston, I also can imagine that a claymore turning up in a museum here in the USA could well happen, or could have been an heirloom with a scottish immigrant.
In terms of berserker behavior... well, okay, definitely not it, but that doesn't mean chops the would be berserker knew that. He just went with what he thought was cool.
love the claymore, its my personal melee weapon, but kinda overpowered, when in power armor i do 470 DPS, way more than most guns, i personally edited the damage in FO4Edit to be more realistic.
Just head East from the museum of freedom in Concord, he'll be in the woods somewhere! Oh, and he's not exactly a vendor... lets just say be prepared to haggle with bullets
