These definitely need patching with Unique NPC Creatures and Monsters (as does this mod, I suspect) as the many critters added include Chickens, Rabbits and Squirrels! Yes, your squirrel bits can come from actual rad-squirrels! Also, I'm tired of the Oberlands chasing after said Squirrels.
LOL I think he saw that ''naked'' chicken on the first picture and was thinking that you made it like this, but it's like that in vanilla (DLC) game hahaha mega LOL
So we can still attack them ourselves right? Friendly NPC that would attack them normally, will not attack you, as if you attacked them or someone on the same team as them. Like shooting a rabbit in Diamond city, will not piss off the guards, or scare people in your settlements, right?
Don't think I've ever seen either a rabbit or a chicken in the game but going by that image with the rabbit with the fog I assume they must have been added by Far Harbor and as such are probably exclusive to that area, I've only explored the place a little as I've been trying to finish up the "Commonwealth" content first, nice to see some new wildlife finally. (They might have lost their fur/feathers but at least they don't have two heads like the Brahmin and Radstags or are downright hostile or annoying like the flies... ha ha.)
EDIT: Huh the avatar picture changed again, wonder if that's a bug, this website can be a bit troublesome at times but I assume it's due to the high load from some odd couple thousand or so simultaneous users due to how popular Fallout is compared to some of the other Nexus websites heh. (I don't remember but I guess it must have been about the same back with Skyrim, perhaps it still is as the game is still pretty popular and the new upcoming re-release might raise that even further.)

I think there is a mod out there that allows you to make cages for them

Alternatively, Better Stores has an option to buy livestock for your settlements that produce food, including chickens and rabbits if you have FH
