    About how balanced would you guys say these grenades are? I'm very cautious about not getting mods that make the game considerably easier. Would you say the damage is not much more than the existing explosives, and would you say it's decently difficult to craft the stronger grenades?

      I'd consider a lot of the more exotic grenades with unique effects to be side grades. Some of them deal more damage at the cost of effect radius. Some of them have a specific effect like crippling the enemy's head. Some have a different arc.

      I'm not sure if any of them deal more damage than 'the existing explosives' - that really depends on how you look. A nuka grenade from the vanilla game will still outdamage most, if not all of these. The only thing that might be on a similar level is the damaged/overclocked fusion core, which brings me to the point: the ones that deal more damage are also the ones that are less common. The explosive fusion cores are roughly on par with a nuka grenade - yet they require you to sacrifice a rare fusion core.

      Personally, I think it's balanced. Enemies will sometimes spawn with slightly more uncommon grenade types, but they will generally not have the top tier grenades in their hands. As for crafting, let's put it this way - usually you will be scrounging up your exotic grenades about as much as you'll be crafting them, is my experience. They're absolutely fun to use, though.
