love this! moon gazing is my favorite thing IRL so the massive moon in games always frustrates me.
do you think you could do a smaller sun mod too? it's normally unnoticeable but with true storms and seeing it through the clouds or fog it's very noticeable. Luckily you could just use the same percentages cause both IRL moon/sun and game moon/sun appear as the same size to the human eye
I tried messing with the sun a few years ago. I don't remember why but I remember I didn't like the results. And like you said, you almost never see it.
Honestly. Ngl I thought your recommended size was laughably small. So I started with the biggest size you offered, that was too big...went smaller, still too big, smaller...smaller...by the time I'm satisfied I'll have downloaded your recommended size after all haha.
Even forgot if there was any difference between say the 25% moon and vanilla so I deactivated it and holy maccaroni, vanilla moon is HUGE. Thanks for offering all the different flavour sizes for us to choose and for this awesome mod to put the moon back into its place! Kudos to you :)
Started out on the Realistic Stars mod page. Great star field. Best one on here imo, (2k works best). Got a recommendation to use Darker Nights with it. Settled on darker nights 3, w/dark sky. Also found a link to this mod page for a realistic moon size. After trying each option, I settled on moonsize37. Honestly, it's the most realistic to me. It's what I see when I walk outside at night, probably 98% of the time. I've never seen your recommended moon size in my night sky... ever. That's just a bloated star to me. "What is that? Is that a moon, or something... " *snickers
Thanks for making the options. I just love mods like these.
Thanks for the moon mod. :) I was wondering however, nothing to do with the mod, is it just my game or has anyone else noticed that the moon travels from West to East along the Southern horizon in the game. The Southern horizon is correct, but it is supposed to look like it moves East to West, like the sun does to the Earth's rotation. I was building in Sanctuary when I noticed this.
If you want another good smaller moon size that might be right for you, look up HD Moon w/phases @ https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30490 as the Smaller Moon optional file is utterly independent from the main mod and is said to work with other moon mods or just vanilla.

What we need is a Real Eclipses mod lol.

Have you ever measured the moon with a fingernail, like in the image above? It's small.
But I'm still glad you like the mod.
