Sorry it took me so long to change those permissions, I haven't touched this mod in over a year (I've been off modding Xcom 2). Last time I looked at this mod the console permissions hadn't category hadn't been added yet and I didn't realize that console permissions defaulted to not allowing any mirroring on Bethesda.net.
I won't be uploading this to Bethesda.net myself because I choose not to use the site but I don't want to prevent others from doing so.
Question, you made this amazing grey retexture for the shoulders and chest...could you do it again...but use the vault tec blue for JUST the chest and shoulders? cause that would look pretty fancy...i have faith in you O_O or if not how could I do it? I would love to learn that
Technically you are correct; the best kind of correct. The Fallout 1 and 2 sprite had a green torso, green shoulders, green gloves, and green boots (feet and legs up to knee). This and the use of a limited color palette made the change between the grey and green area's less stark. A T-51 like that would look good, but one, that's well beyond my skillset, and two, I wanted T-51 to match when mixed with T-45 and T-60.
As far as the lore goes, I'm not sure if the Fallout bible specified the coloring of T-51b, but regardless of whether it did the current vanilla coloring has been retconned by Bethesda as official. I changed the description to just refer to the Brotherhood T-51b from Fallout New Vegas, which actually is all grey.

This is pretty good, and I only wish someone did the opposite. Military olive makes my loins quiver, but I'd rather have explosive shielding and titanium plating than using Military Paint to achieve the all-green scheme.
Those paint schemes are really easy to edit if you want to yourself. They're governed by a 128x128 pixel file that's used to tint the armor (the special paint schemes like shark or hot pink get their own full textures).

Look for PAT51_palette_d.DDS (T-51) and PA_palette_d.DDS (all the others) in Data/Textures/Actors/PowerArmor.
If you want everything to be green make all the pixels green (though that will probably look terrible, you can use the files from the above mods to figure out what does what if you really want to).
It's a mod to the base texture. Any paint job should be put on top of that, ie they will stay grey, not suddenly go back to green. But ultimately it depends on the paint scheme.
A bunch of them (Valut-tec, military and winterized) are governed by a couple really tiny files that map pixels to a tint that it puts on top of the armor texture. Most of the special ones (the pink and shark ones, railroad) have full textures that replace the main armor texture. I'm not sure in which group the brotherhood paint falls, but if it's in the former group it will be grey with whatever on top, if it's in the latter group then it will look the same as vanilla.
EDIT: I installed this mod and its edited a bunch of the other textures for the power suits :| T-60 and T-45 are now black, and X-01 is now a dark grey. WHY YOU DO THIS!!!!!!!!
you may want to check the textures your copying in next time? make sure its ONLY the relevent ones? though I WOULD report the bug so he can fix the archive
I have no idea why this could be happening. The mod only modifies 2 files, T51ArmMetal_d.DDS and T51BodyMetal_d.DDS in fallout4/data/textures/actors/powerarmor. There's no reason those should have any effect on the other armors.
Are you using any other mods?
Here are some things to try: (test the game after each step to see if there is any change) 1. If you installed the mod manually, delete the fallout4/data/fomod folder (there's no reason it should cause problems, but better safe than sorry). 2. Check fallout4/data/textures/actors/powerarmor and be sure the only 2 files are the t-51 arm and body, delete anything else. 3. If those are the only 2 files in the folder, delete them (uninstalling the mod) and see if that fixes it. 4. If it does, reinstall the mod and see if it breaks again.
If things are still broken after that then I have no idea. I can't fix it if I don't know what's wrong.
I don't have X-01 yet, but a couple of the screenshots show T-60b with T-51 shoulders; is this what it looks like for you? Could you post a screenshot of the problem?
expected or not, with all the trollish kids that have been posting stupid mods recently its always safe to check :p just some adivce from an old modder though
