I thought about doing that, but that would mean twice as many cells changed by my mod. That would be for only 2 possible locations for each bobblehead. 3x as many for 3 possible locations. I want to keep this as mod friendly as possible haha. Besides, this should take a good while lol.
what about place bh via quest to existing markers? also if u dont wanna edit cells to remove bh u can make a copy of all bh and place it anywhere and edit old bh to make smth like "useless copy of bh" which will placed at old position
These are things that would work, but having multiple copies of bobbleheads would be annoying for the player. Theyd get their hopes up and find out its a dud lol. Just sounds mean haha. But I did just thinking of a better idea. I could just disable those bobbleheads.
The problem with the marker idea is that existing markers are basically always on the ground. And I can't move them or the quest referencing the marker will move it's alias to the new position. Don't need an actor or something on top of a filing cabinet for example haha. There are no empty x markers laying around that aren't being used at some point.
Thanks for this mod. One thing I really disliked about Fallout 3 was that you had to almost be done with the game in order to even have access to one bobblehead, and if you missed it it was gone forever, same with the Medical Bobblehead at the beginning of the game, I also really really hate that you have to get involved in a long quest in order to have access to two of the bobbleheads in Fallout 4, there is absolutely NO WAY to get at least TWO of the bobbleheads unless you're doing quests
Have you checked out this mod for FONV, just for reference maye to see how they did/do it? It's called Bobblehad Scavenger Hunt Each bobblehaad had 10 random locations it would be placed at the start of every new savegame
