as a manual installer, i saw that the RR uniform folder is inside the RR uniform folder.... so basically the data folder files(mesh, texture folders esp's) are doubled lol
Here is how to do a clean install of this mod in 2024 :
- install the mod with your usual mod manager - remove the redundant "Railroad Uniform" folder - remove/disable railroad_uniform_leveledList.esp, and use the corresponding Weapons Level List Patches file instead - if not using AWKCR, remove/disable railroad_uniform.esp, and use the No AWKCR and AE For Mods File Dump file instead - use this xEDIT script to flag the railroad_uniform.esp file as ESL (ESPFE), saving you a slot in your load order
According to the comments here, there also seems to be an issue when wearing this outfit in 1st person view, with no publicly available fix yet, so proceed accordingly.
I installed this mod in a middle of a playthrough after already discovering the Railroad. Before installing the mod, I uninstalled another mod that modified the Railroad faction. Now all Railroad npcs are wearing vanilla clothing. So I'm assuming it's better to start a new playthrough with this mod?
Thanks for that link which has over a hundred esp replacer patches, removing AWKCR from many mods.
Of course, this mod doesn't make any sense - giving the Railroad neat recognisable uniforms kinda defeats the whole object of being an "underground" organisation - i.e. incognito/undercover (hence why their vanilla outfits look like scavver crap so they can pass for wastelanders). But these uniforms look too cool not to use. Of course, one solution is don't use the levelled list replacer version or only apply it after completing the main game for (or allied to) the Railroad. But from what I understand they don't all wear it anyway - at the lower levels some will still wear the scavvier looking gear.
"this mod doesn't make any sense" say this to Bethesda, most of them have "recognizable uniforms" by default. Entire faction doesn't make any sense: vastly depopulated and devastated world full of insane monsters and insane raiders, people have nothing to eat, they wear 300 years old clothing, yet these muppets have nothing better to do but to fight for robo-rights?
This has a mod requirement. If anyone downloaded this without AWKCR, it just wouldn't activate. The Requirements don't list anything. Please don't make anyone else learn the hard way.
