This mod is one of the best I've ever used but it's also difficult to find. It doesn't even come up in the nexus search menu and the only 2 ways I've found it is by chance scrolling through mods or specifically typing the name in google search. I'm bookmarking this page and referring it to anyone looking for a mod like this one.
I really enjoy this mod, and at this point, I really can't imagine playing without it, I've been looking at it with FO4edit, and trying to figure something out, but have to give up.
So I would like to ask if there's some way I can "quick access" my workshop container since that's all I really use the mod for. I'm guessing I could just remove all but the sanctuary line in Ad04bMenu and remove/empty the others to make sure that the only workshop button is the one for sanctuary, but that seems a tad counterproductive in that it would severely limit usability, which is just against as a principle.
What I was considering was adding some kind of usable (Like a chem, drink etc) that ran essentially did the same as if you clicked the Sanctuary hills entry in the menu, so that I could hotkey it, since that would be quicker than accessing the holotape in the pitboy. I'm quite new to this kind of modding and must be honest in the fact that I don't have much of an understanding in Xedit, especially when it comes to scripts.
My final goal would be the ability to designate one container, be it a workshop container or one of the ones included in the mod as a favorite, and then opening that when you used said chem / whichever item it ends up being.
If you have time I would appreciate a few pointers if you don't have time, then, of course, that is entirely okay.
If I do end up actually making it work, I would also like to ask if you would like to add it as a feature to your mod, or if I can upload it as a separate mod as an add-on to yours, otherwise, i can of course simply keep it to myself.
hello, It is all in the scripts to access the workshop and make changes etc, Ad04bmenu is just the menu image the game displays. i made this mod 'https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12969' to help with writing menus in creation kit, also i include all the uncompiled scripts, look in the 'Scripts' folder then the 'Source' folder and 'User' folder you will find all the scripts in a txt format. there you'll find 'aaCloudMenuSysScript'. This is where the menu functions are, including the workshop functions.
Would you please consider putting in an option to move the items from the storage and transport them into the Workshop? It would reduce inventory management every time the player has to dump the stuff into the Workshop after an adventure.
I Can do that.. check out my settlement switch mod for adjusting settlement ownership and attacks, so finding all the users workshop refs and the dlc workshops is not a problem. Only thing is not got a lot of free time over christmas will look into doing it after crimbo.
yes the vid is out of date now menu is fixed to a holodisk. Will update the vid when finnished V3 am adding more npc edditing options, and a bug fix for starting from a new save.
I like the idea of this. If you could make it less of a cheat and more lore friendly, I think people would be more inclined to download and endorse. Most people don't like to "cheat".
Here is an idea for you. What if you placed an NPC, maybe a caravan cow that would follow you to the major settlements and cities only, that you could activate in order to access your stored items? It would be as if it were carrying your items for you. This would make it feel less like cheating.
@FortuneQuacker: Well, what did you expect to find under the category 'Cheats and God items'? Immersive Lore Friendly items with Lesser Cheats and Lesser God Items?
Did also think of a betsy the cow type thing but haven't got the time to make it at the mo.. Still if you want to use my scripts to make one feal free, was making something bit bigger and built this as a tool to save time testing the more lore frendly quest mod i am making.
I've been wanting a "Groovitron" type mod on the fallout 4 nexus for awhile. It would appear my wishes have been heard, thank you for this amazing mod OP!
that's an amazing mod!good idea, other modders do mods like portable containers but this is more cool and the gun is a "to have", i'll test this, thanks you!
