have you considered making your mod compatible with "loads of ammo" to allow on the fly ammo switching instead of having to use a crafting bench? i love this mod and cant wait to see what else you make!
yes. after review if it was bumped up to 80 on the nades side of things, it'd be fine odn't use the slugs or the flechettes, i was wondering if it was something i could do in fo4 edit i'm just not to familiar with as to how.don't mean to nit pick or bother ya! killer mod either way, i use it to kill power armor and i have better power armor and just needs a bit more oomph.
I love the idea of this mod, but right now (and please don't flame me for saying this), I feel the barrel is just too small to sell the immersion of being a grenade launcher. I know it's using the existing model of a vanilla weapon, which I don't think is a problem, just look at Gatling Rifles, but perhaps replace the barrel and tweak the physical appearance of the ammo. But the options for the gun (grenades, sticky grenades, etc) are something that I would really enjoy.
I have put through a short trial and here is what I found.
I was hoping this would be a great delivery weapon for using explosives as a slightly longer range way to use explosives in your arsenal.
1.Accuracy - While it did manage to be a grenade launcher, the accuracy was so bad that IMHO it made it almost impossible to use for any combat that was more than about 80 to 90 feet away. Even with the reflex site and fluted barrel the accuracy was quite bad. I would have loved to have used the sticky grenades to make some sneak attacks but you have to get to close to have any confidence that you might actually come close to hitting what you are aiming at. 2.Gravity – The gravity of the grenades was pretty high so again it made any combat from any distance a crapshoot. IMO I would just use a grenade and with the arc it can be pinpoint precision for placing it. Even if you do not have the arc you can throw the frag grenade with confidence that its trajectory will perform the same each time regardless. With this gun the accuracy issue makes this difficult for anything that is not close. Accuracy adds a right, left, up and down variable that is extremely difficult to compensate for. 3.Air burst cluster grenade – I only tried this once and it immediately exploded killing me. I was in a very open area and was trying to fire it long range to see the effect so it did not hit anything close to me.
At this point I stopped testing this to come here to give you a little feedback. IMHO here is what I would like to see.
1.Accuracy should be dead on. This will let you have to deal with the gravity issue, but you will not also have to deal with a right, left, up and down, variable on top of the gravity variable. 2.Maybe less gravity so the grenade will be able to fly a little straighter for a longer period of time. There is a great mod called Fastball that makes the baseball grenade fly true, longer and uses the arc too. 3.If possible to add the visual arc for a reflex sighted shot would be outstanding. That would allow for precision placement of the grenades. Sticky grenades would be a blast to use and so would the proximity grenades for setting traps.
I hope you continue to work on this mod as it really is a gem. Since it is explosive based it is a sorely needed mod for FO4 as explosives don’t usually get a lot of love. However as with all explosives you need to be at a distance so you do not kill yourself too. That is where precision comes into play.

I'm not sure if it is possible to make a sight that displays an arc for all of the grenades though, especially since most of them are not physical objects like hand grenades but missile type projectiles. But i will see if i can make one for the physical grenades and perhaps change the impact detonated ones to work with it.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I know that arc must be an issue because you do not see a lot of mods utilizing it. I did not think that the grenades are actually treated like missiles when fired from a gun, but that makes GECK sense.
Good luck polishing this mod it really is a nice addition to the weapon arsenal but long range is a issue for an explosives build. Killing yourself sucks so close courters fights are usually not advisable. This makes longer range precision key.
