    Going to lay down some information here:

    How to tweak some numbers:
    I have added a few numbers that can be tweaked via the console, these are

    VFA_FocusFiringCost - Base cost to fire during Focus. Modified by weapon type

    VFA_CritGainBase
    VFA_CritGainLuckScaler

    These are used in an equation that looks like this, VFA_CritGainBase + VFA_CritGainLuckScaler * Luck. The gain is per hit with a 0.35 second cooldown per actor, adding up to 1 gives a crit.

    You can see the current values by typing "show variable" where variable is one of the above list.

    You can tweak these by opening the console (~ key) and typing "set variable to X" where variable is one of the above list and X is the number you want.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    Q: Can I replace the VATS key/button on my Keyboard/Controller with the Toggler?
    A: Yes, but it requires a bit of work. You'll need to first unbind Q as the VATS key in the options menu. Then assign Q using the Hotkeys.ini file provided by FO4Hotkeys. Controller is a little harder as you'll need F4SE to change the bindings, but the same logic applies.

    Q: I haven't received the Aid items for the mod!
    A: You must leave the vicinity of Vault 111 before you will get the quick start popup and be given the mods. Also, if you are running Sim Settlements, HUDFramework is no longer optional, it is required.

    Q: The Crit meter is always visible and won't fade out!
    A: First I suggest making sure your character is not currently doing anything that would cause the meter to appear as you've configured it. So not in combat, not during Focus, not sneaking, etc, then going into the configure crit meter menu in the holotape and using the "Reload Crit Meter" option. this should fix the majority of issues. I'm still working out the kinks so feel free to drop a comment on how the meter got messed up and I'll respond.

    Q: The Focus effect takes too long to activate after consuming the toggler!
    A: You've got script lag. The script engine can only process so many script commands per frame. If there are too many scripts being executed at once, they will get in line and wait their turn until the processor is available. This can potentially be seconds later if there are a lot of scripts waiting. IT can be caused by either a lot of scripts, or a few poorly written ones. You'll have to go through your load order, find the mods that are causing the lag, and disable them. It helps others if you mention which mods cause this, I don't have a definitive list.

    Q: How about more ammo types for the Penetrator perk?
    A: There's a Formlist that you can edit with the CK or FO4Edit, called VFA_PenetratorAmmo

    Q: I'm having issues with FO4 Hotkeys, help!
    A: While I recommend its use, I didn't write that mod. Requests for help with FO4 Hotkeys should be directed at the mod page for that mod.

    Any compatibility mods for this and Creative Perks? It's honestly the only thing stopping me from using this (currently using Bullet Time mod instead as CP works nicely using the Classic Criticals Perk)

      Check out the improved VAFS Redux. Better version of this mod besides having a patch for Creative Perks.

    Great mod! I was wondering if it was possible to stop the "toggle sound" with a tap on the same hotkey while it is playing. I managed to change the toggle sound when I activate the focus, and it works flawlessly, but the sound I chose is very long (it's a song actually) and when I tap the key to deactivate the focus, the song starts all over again and overlaps with the one already playing! Is it possible to make the song stops when I deactivate the focus (or when it naturally ends)? Thank you!

    OMG! Thanks for this great explanation for making VAFS work on my controller! Best explanation ever! Couldn't do it without this great explanation! Mind-blowing!

    So if you don't use the vanilla game start then how do you get the Aid item to make  this mod work seeing as how the only information given is to leave the vault 111 vicinity, but like, I started outside the vicinity and nothing is showing up. A console command would be  exponentially useful.

      yeah. in my game, i had bullet time installed first then i saw VAFS. i dont experience any incompatibilities in my game. works fine i guess since they have same feature aside from VAFS it refills crits

    crap playing since release and i didn't find this mod existed 'till now
    what a pity to have missed it the entire time
    and it's worse considering i already had his ''eating off the floor'' mod installed

    Ty for your excellent work, i rly love this mod, for me its one of the best mods here.

    My question - is there any ( if possible - easy :) ) way how to tweak Penetrator 2 perk to:
    - work only under active VAFS effect and/or
    - do 50% (or less) damage when projectile has to move throught obstacles?

    Edit:
    The only working solution i found is to make a new barrels with damage reduction and brand new projectiles, then link those with Penetrator 2. Disadvantage of this solution - the weapon with this modification is a bit useless in normal combat. (On the other hand still good against radioscorpions and molerats and not so OP while fighting enemies in interiors.) I hope there is a better way how to do it. :)

      There isn't a way to really accomplish what you're asking. The mod already pushes the limits of what is possible.

      I'm playing an ultimate modded Fallout 4 to end all my playthroughs, going for that peak experience. 
      Unbogus Fallout changes perks around— some of the perks are in different spots on the perk tree, would this nullify their effects in VAFS? 
      Edit: I see there is a patch for Unbogus. But not on console, i guess? Well, the 1st rank of Awareness is definitely working, even though Unbogus changes it. That's awesome...

      There are also other perks that affect criticals and VATS that are totally different from vanilla. My first guess would be, they will not do their thing in VAFS, only in VATS.

    Hey! Xbox user interested in the VAFS experience. I really like your implementation of the concept and reworking of perks.

    I wanted to check, is the version uploaded to Bethesda up to date?

    I only ask because the description on the Bethesda site says some of the perks you list as implemented on Nexus are pending, and the latest update date is earlier than the latest Nexus date.

      It is able to work with unbogus Fallout perks without a patch on console. AS far as the ones i've taken, and they are different from vanilla.
