You could make new traits based around play styles like a trait called wall flower which makes you invisible while sneaking similar to a stealth boy, but it makes you do something like 50% less damage whenever your not crouching. Another idea for traits are ones which are based around IRL philosophies like a trait called purist strength which prevents you from using all non-food consumables and vats, but massively increases speed, damage, and durability by like 50%.

im tracking this mod. I havnt downloaded it yet because I am waiting to see what more you add to this. So far I like what I see and I hope you keep it up.
You could also try using a console command for the time being, more specifically this one "help Traits 4" you might have to scroll up or down to find it, if it's not there, please let me know.
I found the problem, checked your download history of the mod, turns out you don't have the latest version, which is the one that adds the holotape (v1.2 beta), honest mistake.
I think the debuffs are not balanced with the buffs, I mean the negative effects are more than then the positive ones, and actually I'd rather want the debuffs to be buffs and vice versa.
Thanks but as others have said, they are a bit on the unbalanced side. Unbalanced when you take into account that the game relies on damage output to get anywhere. Be sure to look out for an update in the near future that will rebalance and add a new interface to the traits!
I really like the thought of this, but 10-15% damage down from 2 traits... also take 10% more? No. Kamikaze was only -10DT = 1% more damage taken IF that. Good nurtured was 10% to skill penalty that resulted in only 1% (if that) less damage output that you COULD gain back, not a permanent over all, screw you out of 10% damage forever. Hell if one combined finesse and good nurtured... Remember that they had no perks in any of the other ones that just "Heres 15% damage!" unless your counting the Lord of death + Kill X type, gain 10% damage. We don't have a way to recover the amount of damage reduced from this. "But you have weapon perks that just add damage, also bloodymess! You can so recover it!" Those damage bonuses are NEEDED to even play. I'm level 110 and have a hard time doing any damage to anything using a weapon that's under 300 (semi auto), 190 (auto). You have to admit, this game is junk for balance and the negative 10-15% from those two traits are crazy bad for light modded players.
I'll get this and endorse it sense you did take the time to do this , but I am going to edit it.
Tl ; Dr : I love the thought of this mod and will use it, I just think it needs some polish to adapt to how crap the base games balancing is. Thank you for putting the work in to this!

Thank you for the criticism! I will most definitely rebalance them, I will try to find other areas that could be debuffed in place of damage, I have not really had the time to play test thoroughly. So any and all suggestions for rebalances are welcome
Now that the CK is out, can't you just call a menu for this stuff during chargen, like the older games? Might not have images to go with it, but it's better than needing to use a mag and do it.

Maybe you could modify it to work with percentages? (carry more than 70% of your max carry weight) Might need to use F4SE for that tho', i dunno....
So I'll probably see if I can check if the game is in survival mode.
