Tried the plain gas mask, the assault gas mask and the gas mask with googles. Even tried a hazmat suit. No dice. +12 rads all the time. Have to pop radaways like there's no tomorrow. Playing in survival, I quickly became exhausted and can't run (not even talking about sprinting, but just regular running). The mod seems amazing, but I can't really play it that way.
I have downloaded Fusion city rising, so I have access to Brondo on top, but I'm lucky I'm level 150, with 1400 hp, Or I would have died ages ago. It's impossible to survive the rads otherwise. Also, I'm getting lost a lot :p And the perception bbonus "you feel that there is an important item here" didn't help me much. Looked all corner of the room, all cabinet, and even the computer but to no avail.
I know you merged the first and second mods some time ago, and aren't checking this, but I downloaded this mod some time ago, and just started playing it. I just want to let you know, I love, LOVED, the 'lick your fingers and go for it' option to open a safe. It was definitely worth it.
Can't say as to how other people are experiencing combat, because I have been having an issue where my 'slower leveling' Mod just means the enemy list is hilariously easy to kill, not 'it takes me more time to level.'
Just wanted to let you know, really enjoyed the mod, the narration voice over, and the set design.
I did have to watch a few videos to find Override M. I missed the clue the first time I ran through the lab.
As others have said the quest duplicates twice. So once completed the second copy version remains active. That was the only bug I had. Awesome quest- very challenging. I managed it OK with a lot of friends and high rad resistance/radaway. And I even found D, C and M without pointers. Pretty good for me who usually can't find their way out of a paper bag ;-) Thanks!
To all who want to try it: BRING MORE AMMO And multiple weapons, each using a different ammo. I'm starting to regret that I started this with only 2 guns and a melee weapons. Should have brought, well, everything. And I only got 3 encounters down so far.
Edit: Also I have 0 problems with the mod. The radiation is correctly present when I'm not wearing a gas mask, and correctly goes away when I do. I used an assault gas mask from outside the lab. My only gripe is "you sense an important object near you". I'd prefer something at least graspable for what the feck am I looking for as in "important". Edit 2: Okay, I give up. The narrator quickly looses his charm when I'm being swarmed by 20+ ghouls consistently, and I cannot hear him over the shrieks. Also, I have no clue what I'm looking for, why i'm looking for it, what do I get out of it, no terminals, barely any quest markers, and constantly being lost is such a nuisance. I see the appeal of the mod, but this is definitely not for me. And looking at the clock, I've been aimlessly searching this lab for 2+ hours. All I could uncover is that there is one of the vanilla factions present, and some sort of experiment go on. Which is nothing, because I knew both before downloading, just not which faction exactly.
BUGS: The quest markers don't work, at all. Or not useful. Like pointing to the safety override for the big red buttons. And have no f*#@ing idea what is supposed to help with that.
I have tried everything i can to get this mod to work properly but after more than two days and multiple downloads and installs i give up.
The radiation in this mod is ridiculous and when playing on survival difficulty makes it almost impossible. To counter the radiation you are supposed to pick up and equip the gas mask but the gas mask DOES NOT WORK it does NOTHING i get the same amount of radiation with it on of off.
Other problems i have had are the quests being added multiple times the SKIP IT option ( if you have part 2 ) at the start of the mod to avoid the first part does nothing because i have to deal with the ghouls and the override switches either way and EVERYTHING keeps resetting itself every time i re-enter the mod space meaning i have to spend thousands of rounds of ammo all over again killing all the ghouls.
It is a real shame to see a mod like this rendered unplayable by numerous bugs and the poorly designed radiation system.
It also appears as though the mod author has abandoned these mods so no chance of getting these issues sorted.
Great mod! It's funny because a vast majority of people had trouble finding M, when that was the first one I found, and D was the one I had trouble with. I usually hate quests with unmarked objectives but this one I guess was the perfect level of difficulty for me.
One weird thing though: when I downloaded this mod, both the main quest and side quest were added twice to my quest log (I completed the main/side, then just used console to complete the duplicate to get it out of the log)... does that have anything to do with your mod using both an .esp and a .esm? Or is it just a weird glitch on my end?
There should not be a duplicate quest of any kind, thank you for telling me about this and I will look into it asap. I am also working merging both mods into one to make it easier for everyone. Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed it!
*this entrance is too small, you need to remove your power armor*
how convenient
*blow up entrance with mini nuke*
now the entrance is large enough.
also, there is far too many enemy to survive without power armor. i think it is a fundamental flaw in your mod. (and i was playing in normal mod and activated TGM after the third wave.just imagine for people that would play in nightmare or survival mode) [at this point we would need a story-wise reason as to why there is soo many monster to be honest]
as a side note: i could not find those computer part so i just went and , well, could not advance quest.
appart from that, the cell are well build and did not contain any visible glytch. and the *rpg element* was a pleasant surprise.
sorry for the mixed review. its just my opinion. no harm mean, no foul mean
I played both this and the 2nd part on survival, and it was extremely challenging. Like Dark Souls challenging, maybe even harder. BUT, I enjoy that type of challenge. The first one I didn't have too much trouble at all with, but part 2 took me nearly 8 hours to complete on survival. I think this is one of those mods aimed at people looking for an extreme challenge. Which like I said I enjoy, but it's easy to see why people would feel that way.
I would honestly encourage people who don't like the extreme challenge to lower the difficulty to very easy, because it's clear a lot of time and effort went into both of these and deserves a playthrough.

Or is it another mod causing issues?
