This is no mod it's a virus! Already asked nexus to remove it and I hope they do it. I hope you didn't screw up my 2 year game whit this, gonna disable the mod and hope my companions go back to normal. How can someone put a bugged mod like this online? Dindn't you test it? I can't believe that, I think this is just on purpose to screw people's game. Everybody is complaining, Idon't know how this mod was not removed. I hope you're happy for making people unhappy
Dude this was uploaded and last updated in 2016. In what world is someone obligated to maintain a file they made five years ago for fun, that's free and completely optional to download? This person doesn't owe you, or me, or anyone else here anything. Installing literally any mod is a risk to your games stability. If you can't be bothered to read a mods bug report page before installing, modding might not be for you.
Lmao, this mod was made as the Creation Kit for Fallout 4 was coming out. F4SE didn't even exist at the time. There's a reason it was last updated 2016 and that's because I've moved on to other projects. This was meant for the original version of Fallout and there is 0 intent to upkeep this mod. In interest of saving other people I will provide a warning on the mod description page.
Nah son, no amount of apologists are going to change the valid criticism, it's good reputation practice to keep your mod up to date. Either update it or take it down. There is no in-between.

Like so many of the quests made during the early days of Fallout 4 modding, this is an interesting beginning that unfortunately ends far too soon, and without polish and bugfixing.
Some fantastic voice work though; I'm especially fond of the guy who plays Jack, as while listening to his dialogue I realised with a jolt that it had to be the same actor who played Michael Eckhart in Red Scare, probably my favourite tiny quest mod for Fallout 4.
And for anyone else who played this initially on Xbone and couldn't finish it because for some reason the f***ing XZ-55421 Data Decryptor wouldn't spawn in the Boston Mayoral Shelter, do the following:
Search "decryptor" in the console and look for the "Code Breaker" quest baseID.
Type "getstage 6d00e0ad" which is the baseID in my save, but will have two different characters at the beginning depending on your load order.
Type "setstage 6d00e0ad 20" if the quest is stuck at 10.
Was made for the NVidia Modding Contest. All work had to be finalized and submitted within a 2 month window. The VA would lend his voice but I was in charge of writing, coding, Audio mixing, and level design. This was made pre script extender and I was in High School all while doing this as a pure passion project.
This was my first ever and last mod. The want to create was snuffed out as those who violated contest rules eventually got picked to be finalists and then even some finalists didn't receive their prize. I occasionally come back to read posts and it does make me happy seeing the page still get some activity.
If I ever get the creative bug again I may clean up the mod. But that's for another day. Cheers :)
unfortunately this mod messes with the companions talk command when i select it i get a unvoiced "hey what ya need boss" HOWEVER if you don't use companions (which i do) you shouldn't notice it if this gets fixed ill be happy to reinstall and give this mod ago however i like my companions or maybe ill do a no companions playthrough later well see
How is development coming on the rest of it? So far it was great but it really needs a wrap up, I know its the prologue but its been out for almost a year :-)
I haven't really put much work into the mod due to dealing with schoolwork and depression. I'll likely be giving working on the mod a second shot now that I'm doing better and feeling up to it.
Assuming Eric (Dev/Null + Jack's VA) is still willing to lend me his voice, I will be working on the mod again as of now.
Yep, got the "Hey, what you need boss?" bug from all my vanilla companions, but all my mod companions are talking as normal. I hope this bug can be fixed!
Tristanosh could you get permission and fix that be great if we could get this mod up and running? I'm not good with CK (Creation Kit) or coding but would not mind helping you fix what was leftover fixes by testing the mod.
Has anyone else reported an issue with picking up the decripting card in the Mayoral shelter? Took a while, found it, but nothing ever advanced after that. Not sure why. I have very few mods installed, and once completed I de-activate them. So conflicts are unlikely. Regardless, found a video on youtube and watched what I missed. I look forward to your other projects. That was an awesome story.
