    i'm not too keen on reduced damage as i'm playing on max difficulty and it would be worthless at half damage, and the real problem lies in the lack of effort the original modder put into scripting how the microfusion breeder funtioned. it would work best if you left the damage intact but made it so that it simply capped out at 30 ammo, by putting a mf breeder into the ammo inventory, kinda like in fallout new vegas with its recharger rifle. think you're up for it?

    Actually, I've just had an idea...is there any way you can nerf it's regen amount? It's regening a shot once every second. Wouldn't it be better if it took longer to do that? (say, it would take 15 minutes to regen 20 shots?)

      That was my first thought, yeah, but because I don't have access to the source code to the script that handles it, I can't do that.

      if you cut its regen down then it becomes a piece of crap that has no ammo that you have to sit on for the recharge. the whole strength of the rifle is the unlimited ammo, so it makes much more sense for the damage to be reduced for balancing purposes.

    Good idea!

    I can't say it's overpowered, but it does screw with the ammo mechanic. Making it tactically poor to use is a good choice, much like the recharger rifles.
