Probably the best ReShade i have tested so far, i really hope they can fix the DOF sometime soon, since i love the effect, it just blurs the menus sometimes and flickers quite a bit, even when i toned it down. Excellent job anyway!

    Hello Riquinni,

I tried installing this preset and got CTD when starting the game. Now I see that you say "Download the preset you like and Reshade 18.7 from here", doe sit mean I download the Reshade 18.7 and also one of the Official, unofficial or Omni presets? and install that too? and then copy Enrai files?

Under SweetFX 2.0 / ReShade it says "SweetFX 2.0 (Preview 8 | ReShade 0.18.7)." The third one from the top, download that. all you need from it is ReShade64.dll which you extract to the game folder and change to dxgi.dll. Then you install my preset over that.

Yes thank you. I downloaded the "SweetFX 2.0 (Preview 8 | ReShade 0.18.7)" and copied only the 'ReShade64.dll', renamed it to 'dxgi.dll', then copied all the content of Enrai reshader and I still get the CTD error as below:

      http://imgur.com/Q1FCWkU

      The crash points to dxgi.dll.

The odd thing is, if I use dxgi.dll from any other reshader, it works

That is odd, it sounds like you have a problem with 18.7 but I have no idea why that would be the case. I just tested it myself and it still works, but I will try to update this preset for a newer version later which will hopefully eliminate whatever problem you are facing. But if you can still get it working with another dxgi then I guess that will have to be the solution for now.

Unfortunately I have been having trouble of my own getting the latest Reshade version to play right with the preset's settings, I have also been busy so I might not be able to get it updated any time soon.

This is by FAR the best Reshade on The Fallout 4 Nexus right now! Love it, but my computer takes a massive FPS drop (-16 FPS) down to puny (what i think is unplayable) 30 FPS...
PLEASE do you have any TIPS on what features in the SweetFX, Reshade folder, i could modify (or turn off) to at least bring up my FPS a tiny bit? ( MAYBE evn make a seperate file for modified for less of a FPS hit?) As said before, Most awesome looking Preset so far on nexus! (16.11.2015)

Axe, turning shadow distance down in the FO4 launcher options is a huge fps saver. If you haven't tried that yet I highly suggest you give it a go!

I must say, hat's off to you sir! I find it kind of rare that authors answers back, but that they take on a request to make a whole other file is so awesome of you!

The game is running great! I must admit that i recently downloaded the "Fallout 4 - Texture Optimization Project" by the author 'torcher' ( which boosted my game quite a bit, about 8 fps). But combined with this preset (giving me a about 4-5 fps boost with a bit TWEAKING myself) i can finally run Fallout on a smooth 50 FPS.
My PC is a Tin Can with the outdated GTX 660 Card, but atleast i can enjoy the game both visually beautiful and with a respectable FPS!

Kudos to you sir! And thanks once more!

(And yes, perhaps a 16-FPS loss from the original file were a bit of an exaggeration!)

No problem at all. If I can help someone enjoy the game more I think it is worth going out of my way to do it. Just my little way of giving back to the community.

    Very nice Preset.
But the DOF is switching around every time you watch into the distance.
Is there a possibility to select an area with constant blur or to make the transition from sharp to blur more smooth ?

The DoF is pretty flawed in Reshade, I am not aware of any way to make the blur set to a certain distance or make the transition smooth unvortunately. My only advice would be to tone down the settings in McFX to make the change less drastic. in McFX you can raise the number of DOF_FARBLURCURVE 0.4 to something higher to decrease the amount of blur. Play around with it and let me know if you find a good balance. Also you can change the focus point of DOF_FOCUSPOINT float2(0.5,0.3) from (0.5,0.3) to (0.5,0.5) to lower the focus, decreasing the amount of tranistions there will be.

Thanks. I choosed DOF_FARBLURCURVE 1.2 and float2(0.5,0.7) -> So the focuspoint is on the ground

Could you mind linking a screenshot of how you tweaked it? I've found the file and lines but i don't know where to tweak the numbers.

Currently my favourite graphical preset. However, the UI is often blurred along with the background with depth of field. I am guessing there is no easy way to fix this other than to go for the non-depth of field version, but I think that depth of field is one of it's best features, especially since it doesn't remove any frames for me. Any ideas?

Unfortunately no, it is one of the very few issues with Reshade. My only advice would be to lower the amount of blur to something that makes the writing readable. For example changing DOF_FARBLURCURVE 0.4 to 10.0

Absolutely lovely preset. Just enough desaturation to remove the "cheap plastic" feel that the vanilla colors give me. I slightly increased the lumasharpness per my own personal taste and now it's perfect - Thank you!

Can you post a picture from night time? My biggest issue so far is that nighttime is bright and there is ZERO reason to use the pipboy flashlight.
