Update 3.6 Now Snaps to Friffy's Just Some Rugs
Added Snap Points to both mine and Friffy's meshes to make them fully snap together! Please note that Friffy's snap points are just slightly differently than mine so sometimes snapping will be off a touch. If this happens just pick it up and nudge it it'll go back to perfectly straight. While maybe a little annoying, I prefer the compatibility! I also adjusted my snap points to be easier for future rugs and meshes!

    Update 3.0 Adds Snap Points
Rugs and carpets now snap 3 ways, To the edge of a floor, to the middle of a floor and to each other!

There are 2 known issues, they will not snap to floors that do not use vanilla snap points, Modular Housing is the only one I know of. But they will still snap to each other.
They can be tricky to snap to floors when snapping to floors surrounded by walls or more floors, just like vanilla walls and doorways. You may need to pick up a floor or wall place the rug then put it back. The vanilla snap points are just picky.

Update 2.0 Dirty, Dusty and Torn
Sootdirt was amazing enough to put do some dirty, dusty and torn versions. Please go give her some kudos because she is lovely! These do not yet Snap!

    Future Updates
Renovated Decorations and Furniture are both receiving large updates. New meshes, new textures, new snap points and some cleaning to all the folders, as well as pack into a ba2 archive to save you space. If you want to see the progress there is a spreadsheet {here}. Additional Items may include everything from new meshes I've made to just a few more texture options. The progress is sorted by folder as that is how I am cleaning the mods. Cleaning and snap points first, new meshes and textures next! That includes Dirty textures! The final steps will be looking into optional menu injection.

I am also working on making a Modders Resource, with full documentation as well as the meshes for anyone to use! So any rug/carpet mod that uses the documentation or meshes will snap to each other, but not be dependent on another mod.

While I may release some smaller updates I would rather wait and do a much larger release.

Great mod. I was wondering though since it doesn't have its own custom menu, would it work with "Workshop rearranged"?

Sorry for the late reply and probably not as is, however the author of that mod has done patches and has permission to do so when he has time to. I think they're in optional on rearranged downloads.

Aha! Found the answer to my own question on the Furniture mod. The rug is no doubt yours. And I was JUST whining to myself about how I wished I could find sheer curtains to go with Friffy's. Man, you are amazing woman! These settlers need to come out of game and give you kudos for helping me make their settlements so much classier
Thank you Mrs. Downloaded and will be endorsed as soon as able!

They look great are easy to place the only down side is there is no way to make objects Phanton in the Game. Would be great they could be used for room dividers. Maybe sopme smart modder will try to make a Phantom Mod .

You might also consider a script injected menu, so that your Renovated mods are sitting under one sub-menu. Most mods add their objecs to misc/vanilla menus making it very time-consuming having to scroll through hundreds of items to get to the one you want...

most ~large mods at this point use menu injections, very few mods use the vanilla menus. I'm aware of script inject, if you check out ren furn's page you'll see why I've been on the fence about it. No matter the mod, no matter how big or colorful the text people still uninstall the mods incorrectly and I don't always have time to trouble shoot to that degree. I may just push all my items to the absolute back of the menu's, I may make them only show up if you have an item in your inventory. I've asked my husband, who enjoys scripting as that is what he does for a living and in his free time, if he would be inclined to do a menu script, and perhaps one that toggles.

TL;DNR A solution for the menu bloat is being looked at(including injection), but right now pushing the big updates, bringing consoles up to date and then small adjustments are top priority.

While all the other curtains work fine, the lace ones don't seem to want to snap to anything or be built anywhere. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Is there a solution that doesn't require other mods? (I cannot use "Place Anywhere" mods due to conflicts.)

because they use a different type of materiel file they won't have the outline or let you know in any way that they are in a spot they can 'snap' like the solid ones, but they can. that is an issue with anything that uses only a bgsm file even vanilla items, solid glass walls or floors have this issue for instance.

BUT if you can put a solid one you can place a lace one. Meaning they will attach to the ceiling but other than trying to place them there, there isn't a way to know that they can be placed. place everywhere shouldn't cause any conflicts but I myself don't use it. I instead use the dev console. The commands are listed in the fan wiki's, but you can place a solid one go into the console click on the solid curtain, and do these commands; get pos x, get pos y, get pos z, get angle z. and then remove it. place a lace one and go back to the console click on the lace one and do set pos x etc. the downfall of this is if you click the wrong thing then that thing will move. you can also do the mod pos as well and its easier to do precise movements. but this takes a lot more time and effort than PE ever would lol

Just saw the update. Again, may I please ask for some clarification. The DIRTY textures 2.0 will still work but requires overwriting and will not have any of the features of the latest update, ie., snap points?
Also, will the "dirty" files get updated or are they getting mothballed? I looooooove the dirty textures. Please, please, please. lol

The only thing that has changed from 2 to 3.6 is snap points, no new textures...yet! So if you are using dirty and torn 2.0 you don't need to update!(actually having the torn ones snap would visually look a mess). I have a kinda long long list of works in progress and not a lot of free time, so the dirty and torn version isn't being tossed but it is being delayed a touch.

Sootdirt was the one who did the dirty versions of the textures and I know she's got other things going on but once I have the Big Update for this ready I am going to ask if she would want to dirty up the new stuff as well. So instead of having some dirty and some clean you'd get the whole thing.

If you want the dirty textures with the new snap points, the easiest way is to NMM install 3.6 and do a manual install of ONLY the textures from the dirty.

      Thanks for the excellent response.
"I have a kinda long long list of works in progress and not a lot of free time" Yeah, me too...that's my entire life in a nutshell...lol

I was too impatient and updated...lol I screwed things up and now I have pink/purple-ish squares in my menu and on the floors. I don't have tons of rugs everywhere, so I can just scrap and uninstall/reinstall, etc. I'll have to read the info here, as I am sure this has been discussed and there is an answer.

If you have a big update ready and you're going to have both dirty and clean...all I can say is WOW! Yes, both would be awesome. I use both clean and dirty depending on immersion factors. I mean Outpost Zimonja...like I'm going to contract and pay to have new rugs made, then shipped there so those freakin' outpost slobs can mud them up? Puh-lease! lol

Oh, and a shout out to Sootdirt. I thought the 'dirt' was perfectly done.

      I CAN'T WAIT!

Oh no! The purple is a missing texture issue, sometimes happens with bad NMM installs. So I'd just stick with either 2.0 or the clean 3.6 (unless you're familiar with manual install) I'm not sure when the update will be as I want to clean up Renovated Furniture first before I start troubleshooting new meshes.

Yes! I told Sootdirt that I just wasn't interested in making dirty textures and she stepped up. <3 I also need to get some decent in game screenshots of them (also release them for xbox... the list keeps growing whoops). She is a very talented modder and has been so helpful to not only myself but a lot of folks. <3

Thanks for the advice. Just an update. I kept it simple. I uninstalled all of it, then only reinstalled 3.6. lol Nice and simple. I can patiently wait for dirty rugs. I'll simply decorate the places I want clean rugs and leave the dirty settlements for later. No big deal.

So thanks again and thanks for caring enough to want to go "ridin' dirty" with me...lol and thank you to Sootdirt for stepping up.

    Renovated Furniture 3.5 ?
Shouldn't it be Renovated Decorations 3.5

I am having the same issue. I tried a direct NMM download and then a manual download. I get this message on NMM: "Renovated Decorations can't be added".

Likely because I derped and called it Furniture 3.5, I don't think the upload wizard liked me naming it the same as something else on the server, lol.
But its up now as the correct name. And I was able to download it just fine manually! NMM always takes a bit before you can download, mostly due to virus scan. But you can download manually and use the Add function with NMM if you don't want to wait. So sorry for my massive derp.

Lovely stuff. Rugs and curtains and similar small simple things really bring soul to your settlements. Thank you.

Just for clarification - you can only have one choice active basically? Clean or D/D or DDT, etc. but not all at once? I ask because NMM asks if I want to overwrite, etc.

That is correct. Only one at a time. The dirty ones will override the clean.
