This mod uses this particular Bethesda function to do its job: SetFogPlanes(). The link leads to the wiki description page, this function is limited to modifying only non-sky-lit interior cells according to Bethesda. This is the reason why you may see certain interior cells that are affected by the outside sky/weather, not having their fog planes modified.

Works as intended for me, Settings Item is in my misc tab, and on SUBTLE, fog is no longer a friggin nuisance. All I can say to help peeps who have issues with this mod is tell you it is sitting pretty much smack-dab in the middle of my load order (MO2), just below retextures and above anim replacers, grouped with the other lighting tweaks like the one from FadingSignal advertised in this mod's description.

@EAGnR: Thank you very much, this gets endorsed & archived for future setups.

So, the holotape's not there. Installed with Vortex.

    - No relevant holotape under Misc in my inventory.
    - No results with the help command (whole term and keywords).
    - Checked workstations just in case it might show up there. No luck.

Anyone else who had a similar issue and got it to work?

Yup.  For anyone reading, there is a FAQ on the main description tab, and the mod author goes over how to get the holotape if it has not appeared in your inventory.  He suggests typing this into the console:

help "Dynamic Interior Fog Removal" 4
That SHOULD get you the ID of the holotape, but it doesn't come up with anything.  In doing that, I discovered that the game help text mentions that the "4" is a type of filter to limit results.  So I changed it to zero, which filters out nothing -- it shows any command, item, monster that has that text in it.  And it still came up with nothing.  So then I searched only for "fog" to REALLY see everything about fog and hopefully removal of fog.  This is what the command looked like:

      help "Fog" 0
That comes up with tons of stuff, mostly about a fog monster, probably from Far Harbor DLC.  But it didn't show ANYTHING about this mod.  There is no inventory item with any reference to "fog" in my installation, even after installing this mod.

My guess is that the people who are having success with this mod had it installed at the beginning of their games.  I know a lot of mods use early areas to trigger their stuff, such as "leaving the vault" for the first time.  Unfortunately, I installed after about 25 hours of gaming, and for me, this mod is a no-show.  :(

For some reason this isn't working for me in 163. I tried even putting it after PRP but the fog's still there.

Does this mod only work in interiors with load doors, or does it work inside regular houses too?

Only "Interior cells". Which, in lay-mans is ones separated from the outdoors by a loading door.  Locations that are simply "inside" but are still loaded in the main outside world will not be affected in ANY way.

    Great mod.
Can the VIS patch work for VIS-G?
