Hello. I have an issue and I hope someone can help...
Suddenly, the nails are all pink, like they are missing textures. I uninstalled and deleted this mod, then I downloaded it anew and installed. All the nails are still pink (I use the latest version of NMM).
The textures have their own folder, so no vanilla could interfere, also other mods shouldn't. Do u use any third-party-patch, FG conversion or anything?

No, nothing like that. I am very conservative. It is just classic CBBE, no conversions or new patches. As a matter of fact, I have not played FO4 for a few years. I just fired it up like a week ago, and I have these missing textures. I did install some new clothing (mostly shoes) mods. But that's about it.
Okay... Hmmm... I copied the files in their respective folders manually. The nails are still pink. Oh, and there's something else. When I use the Pip-Girl, the nails look fine. They just go pink when in the third-person view. Could it be some conflict with the Pip-Girl mod? If so, it would be weird because there was no conflict in the past and I did not change anything.
I am sorry for being a pest. I love this mod (all your mods, actually). I hope you can help me... And many thanks in advance.
This is sad. I really love this mod. And... no, I have had the Pip-Girl mod installed forever. And the nails have always worked fine. I may have systemic issues though. I have not played FO4 for a couple of years. In the meantime the exe was updated, then the F4SE was updated, dependent mods were updated... Before trying to play the game, I tried to update everything. I don't know, perhaps I missed something... But the game seems to be working fine.. except I get those pink nails.
Did u doublecheck for textures and correct folder? Do all nails-colors fail or just specific? It worx in 1rst person view?! ... it's the same mesh & texture-combo as in 3rd person ..

1. The nails look fine in Pip-Boy/Girl view; 2. The nails look fine in First Person view (like when aiming a gun); 3. ALL nails go pink in Third Person view only (like when zooming out and looking at the character from a distance); 4. I did not update much, just the F4SE (to match a more recent Fallout4.exe version) and a few mods which were updated to work with the more recent F4SE. I mean the game-play/immersion mods. Nothing relating to the character models, clothing, etc.; 5. My F4SE version is 0.0.6.23 and my Fallout4.exe version is 1.10.163.0.
I am guessing that the textures are there (since they work in Pip-Boy and in First Person). It seems strange that the textures do not work in Third Person.
Thx for the details, i wish everyone would describe issues that specific. Unfortunately i have no idea why it's not working especially in 3rd person ...
I found the problem! I am using an older Dicky's Pinup Outfit. I think it is V.3. The new version is F3, but I don't like it (because he politicized it with Ukrainian symbology and stuff). Anyhow, my version of Dicky's mod has two versions of gloves. One version says it cannot be used with Nails mods. The other says that it CAN be used with Nails mods. Naturally, in my new game, I equipped this second version of gloves which, supposedly, CAN be used with Nails... and my nails went pink in third-person. I unequipped the gloves and then reequipped the nails, and the nails returned to normal.
So, there is a mod conflict.
Not sure if you want to address it. And I don't know if the problem still exists with the latest version of Dicky's mod.
But I thought I would share my discovery :o) with you.

When i want to choose one of your Nails in the Chem Workbench, i got a Crash? I use Fusion Girl Body. Does this fit, or why i get kicked out of FO4? Tysm
Little Late but, on the description page under requirements "mods that require this..." there is a link to Fusion Girl Conversion. That said, your crash may not be related since this mod is essentially gloves, so until equipped body type doesn't come into play before that. Even still when I equip hands/gloves from a CBBE onto FG the only real problem is an invisible chink cutout on the back the wrist. It will/does still equip, (just doesn't look good at all).
Your fix is probably to check your install folder and make sure all the files that should be there are actually there. (Compare from archive file to install folder). Something may have not made it over correctly.
Would it be safe to remove the optional file mid playthrough? I had both the main & optional file installed, & decided much later that I don't like the optional designs. Can I delete the mod & install the main mod only mid-playthrough? I haven't equipped anyone with these optional nails, but have the main designs (not optional) equipped on almost every settler & companion! Can I revert it to only main file without unequipping the nails on everyone?
Sorry for the odd question, is it possible to use this fingernail mod with something like fingerless gloves from other mods? If I equip gloves that show fingers and try to equip the nails, it removes the nails
If a glove includes fingers, it will replace the nails (which include own hands mandatory, due to fitted hand-geometry). You need gloves without inbound hand-meshes, and with a different bodyslot. The issue with using gloves with a different equip slot is that the gloves no longer appear in first person. This mod is incredible for first-person as the nails show when shooting or using the PIP Boy/Pad.
Could I possibly persuade you to add an equippable item that includes the fingerless gloves from your TRS-mod AND the nails from this mod, all in the glove slot so they both appear in first person?
I wanted this too and found the process pretty easy to accomplish with Body Studio. Load an outfit and select the glove mesh .nif file you want, then import the nails you want. You may need to delete a overlapping handmesh and "lift" the nails a bit with a brush but it works! I'm not sure if I wanna release whole mesh mashups but let me know if you have some gloves in mind and I can try a test one.
You can also accomplish this without Body Studio by changing the body slot of either the gloves or the nails so that they don't conflict. This requires an ESP edit though.
I had a question, where does this mod take the hand textures that are used from? basehumanfemale folder or what? Im having an issue of different colored hands than my skin color since i use (PPS) mod and ASO in conjunction. Trying to replace the texture used to fit the skin color of (PPS) mod. Ive replaced the basehumanfemale dds but that made every female in the commonwealth have light hands even though it did fix my issue. Any work arounds?
Hey just wanted to let you know, reloading the PPP skin in looksmenu fix's the issue until reloading the save so for now i have a workaround! If possible, could you link the mod that contains the Toe Nail's? im having trouble finding it.

Uploaded Today all my nail options into a update for the main mod. They are all craftable in the chemlab, includes the bloody version to.
The Toe Nails that is original from the Easygirl mod ofcours will be a different upload here on this modpage.
