For those of you still trying to use this in 2023, it does still work, but the item "Mercenary's Bible Part 4" which is required to activate the mod seems to have issues being spawned into the inventory. There's a fix for this with console commands, but it's going to be slightly different for everyone, so here's how YOU can fix this issue and get this mod to work again:
1.) In game, open the console using the ~ key. (If you are in survival, you'll need a mod that reenables console access because vanilla survival disables this. Various mods do this, and in light of the ever changing mod scene, I'll leave that up to you to find it instead of recommending one.) 2.) type in the following command help bible 0 3.) find the line (you might need to use the PgUp / PgDown keys to navigate) that starts with 'BOOK:' and lists 'Mercenary's Bible Part 4' at the end. 4.) take note of the numbers and letters in parenthesis on this line. This is the ID you will need to type into the next command. 5.) Type in the following command, replacing the X with the ID from the previous step. Don't type the parenthesis, just the numbers and letters. player.additem X 1 6.) You should have the item in your Misc tab in your inventory now. Read it, and it will start up the mod with a series of questions.
Does this still work? I tried on a fresh, new save. Stage 0 on FarBarber quest activated. The book doesn't change anything. Doesn't seem to work on Male characters.
Is it possible to just have the beard growing and setting the growing rate? I would love to see my character's beard grow over time, but I don't like all the other features... Also a consumable shaver to shave it off would be useful if possible. Just to shave the whole thing off, no selection of style (a barber will do that anyway).
the mod grow a hair does close to that, it came out not too long ago, you can change the interval, you can set it to only grow your beard or normal hair, and there arent the extra features.
Okay, Just installed the mod from bethesda.net. downloaded it and made sure it was updated, make a new game, and no Mercenary's Bible. Even after it told me it was added. What gives?
does this mod even work anymore? i tryed everything annd i cant get my hhair to falllout or grow no mater what. to bad sounnds llikke a cool mod annd i loved it in the witcher wish this was a standard feature in alll games..
This is a really underrated mod. If you add a way to modify the settings of this mod in game that would be awesome. Setting examples: Being able to select how fast hair grows, how long you wait for the next stage of hair. How fast hair loss occurs after using anything that would cause such loss how much Rads it takes for hair to start falling out

The concept is really cool.
