Really love the idea of this mod. Quick question on it. If you start a playthrough with this mod, are all containers permanently changed for that playthrough, even if the mod is disabled?
I just want to thank you for this mod, it's exactly what I was looking for (XBOX) since I always feel OP after 3 hours of playtime (survival mode). Now the wasteland feels really wasted. After playing the game like 4 or 5 times this a very good way to dive in again.
I tested the mod against "Looted World" (very good, too, but does not change enemy loot):
Test Scenario:
leaving the vault
loot Sanctuary
museum quest in Concord (kill raiders and deahtclaw)
loot museum raiders
trade with carla
trade at drumlin diner
With "Looted World" I have about (after trading):
1100 Caps
30 x .308 rounds
150 x 10mm rounds
1 x Pipe sniper rifle
2 x antibiotics
4 x jet
3 x psycho
With "Scavenged Wastes" I have about (after trading):
20 Caps
3 x .308 rounds
12 x 10mm rounds
0 x Pipe sniper rifle (instead 1 x normal .308 pipe rifle)
0 x antibiotics
1 x jet
0 x psycho
That is a huge difference and makes the wasteland a real endtime world.
I love this mod and it is now a permanent part of my load order.
I like the scattered caches but how would I go about removing the PA from them? Finding a complete set of t-60 just before entering the Museum of Freedom is a little disconcerting.
while this isn't my kind of mod, I have to compliment your user name just because of how badass Lu Bu was historically (if only he could have learned to not betray everyone he worked for)
I have this mod fairly low in my load order with only like 2 or 3 things that add locations below it so it can make the world far more barren. Really a must have on a more realistic game, seeing as how it is far more logical that in the 210 years since the bombs fell, people would have cleaned out what they can find. My only issue with it so far seems to be no vendors having any caps at all save what gets added through my Be Exceptional perks.
Haven't paid much attention to numbers, but it seems to touch how much produce and water my settlements offload to the workshops to loot, so not sure if those are something I can tweak in FO4Edit or not. Makes sense that some caravans would be fairly broke while out on the road, since I would imagine they keep their caps in Bunker Hill to not get robbed and lose everything on the roads, but in DC and Bunker Hill proper is a bit off.
Still endorsing (as I apparently forgot to do that already) and keeping it as I was never really fond of having a loot-a-palooza all over the place.
Naked Raiders, for that, just bear in mind that those gangs are set up in their system, so lower level Raiders not having much at all to wear shows they've not quite "earned their keep" so to speak. Higher up in the ranks, those are who gets rich. Basically Raiders are a Pyramid Scheme. Even in the Wasteland, you can't get away from one.
Haven't quite dove into those too much as of yet to do a full test of it, though from what I've ran into thus far, it seems to be more of a full on hardcore overhaul with all the "end of dungeon steamer trunks" being flat out empty, along with quite a lot of others similar. Really does feel very much like what I had wanted of it, making it far more vital to build up s home of your own. (though Preston and his merry morons aren't getting out the Museum. They can suck it.)
I do have a single issue with it thus far, that being that regardless of the purifiers I have out (Using Place Everywhere to not have to turn the river of Sanctuary into a water farm again), and that is seemingly that the passive water and even food being added to my workbench simply doesn't happen whatsoever. So may be something to keep an eye out on.
Also works rather well with Salvage Beacons as well to strip every place you run into of everything that could be useful, as well as a Workshop Grinder to break down all junk items in my workbench of the settlement its placed at down to the base components.
