I encountered an issue with this mod being required as an asset, but it was using what I'm assuming is an older name. Sorry to the modder if this is super asinine and it is not good advice, but I copied this .esp in the data folder, and called it what the mod wanted to see, and enabled the plugin directly in the plugin menu, and this fixed the issue, I didn't incur any conflict problems since I figure it is the same .esp file and therefore is hopefully just a different name like I was intending it to be. If this works and anyone has this problem for any of their mods being out of sync with the names of the files being updated, I hope I just made your irritation go away. If this does not work, sorry for getting some peoples hopes up and I apologize for being an ass and wasting everyone's time.

Today I watched "10 Rare & Obscure WWI Era Guns" by The Great War on YouTube. The vanilla assault rifle, which everyone thought was a scaled down Maxim or Lewis gun, actually existed. It was the "Hellriegel", an actual water jacketed WWI attempt to make a hand held sub-machine gun. Someone at Bethesda must have known about this very rare gun, or created the vanilla assault rifle by pure coincidence. Anyway, check out the video, about 2/3 of the way through the guy shows this odd water-cooled, hand-held attempt by Germany of an assault rifle in WWI. They did succeed in WWII in making the first modern type assault rifle. I think "Hellriegel" would be a perfect name for the vanilla assault rifle, since it really did exist, which is what you are doing.

I think a nice name for the "Alien Blaster" would be something like the "X-44 Atomizer".

Hey ThisIsVegas, I think you miss named the Walter PKK. Shouldn't it be Walther PPK?

This is a great 1st cut!

Bethesda could not name these names for trademark reasons. This is probably the reason for the generic Beth-naming convention.

I use the assault rifle extensively in my game ... and yes, it does look like a 'bastard' variant of the WW1 Lewis machine gun.

If the in-game 'assault rifle' used a pan magazine a Brit .303, or Springfield 30-06 or German 7.92x57 then indeed ... it would very much be like the Lewis.

Personally, I would like my 'assault rifle' re-skinned to look more like the beloved AR15, or the M16 service rifle. Obsidian did it right with the All American in Fallout New Vegas.

what they should do is stop deleting the iconic weapons and replacing them with crap like they've done.

Mate like half those names make no sense. The combat rifle is based more off the PPSh than the BAR (it's literally just a retooled combat shotgun), and the Sprtl-Wood looks nothing like that. The flare gun is a Kampfpistole, and the Flamer literally has its name "FT13" written all over its frame.

Also, you know that A3-21 is the name of a synth from Fallout 3, NOT the name of the urban plasma rifle made by REPCONN right? So many people make that mistake.

I still believe that Combat Rifle is a successor of BAR based on PPsh. And you're right, that Gatling Laser isn't Sprtl-Wood. I blindly changed its name on that one. At a closer look, it looks more like AE design. Should it named like AEG?

I'm not very sure at Flamer. But gonna change it to FT13 since it written on it.

And thanks for point out on Plasma Rifle. I feel embarrassed right now haha. Gonna fix that real fast.
