I had this mod for a long time before the update where the animation was replaced. The gun had a really nice sound when you shot it but ever since the update, the sounds changed and it sounds like crap. Does anyone know of why this happened or where to find a good .45 audio replacer?
I like it but I wish the model had the hammer in the cocked position. 1911's are single action only so it wouldn't be able to fire with the hammer down.
Yep. I have been just pretending it's a Kimber LDA (Light Double Action) for immersion purposes, but then, I never saw the point for the LDA design, either except to make and otherwise excellent design acceptable to agencies that had hand-wringers in the command staff who were scared of a cocked-n-locked 1911. Still, otherwise, I enjoy this mod. Goodness knows I can't make one myself.
I say you did a job that is just fine, well, and dandy OP. As an owner of a Springfield Armory MilSpec 1911A1 in stainless steel though, I have one complaint... you seem to have forgotten the visible end of the extractor pin on the rear end of the slide, on the right side of the hammer. Other than that though, keep at it!
I added your textures to the main file, it now replaces the comfort grip and adds your textures to its own receiver called the the Series 70 Mk IV Government Receiver or something like that. Added pictures so you can see the update. Thanks for your awesome work keep it up!
As a suggestion, you could also do a 200th anniversary Remington M1911R1 Limited Edition retex. The default Hunting Rifle full stock and standard long barrel could be retextured to be a 200th anniversary edition Remington Model 700.
