what is it with your BoS fanboys taking every enclave armor, retexturing it, and calling it BoS? just because you can do it, doesnt mean you should. stick with lore.
It's based off of the power armor from Fallout Tactics, which was used as inspiration by Bethesda for the Enclave power armor in Fallout 3. In the timeline, Fallout Tactics takes place before Fallout 2 (the first appearance of the Enclave outside of Fallout 76) and Fallout 3. This mod and the original mod are based off that specific armor, seen below.
Hi I recently updated the Midwestern power armor and noticed I can't get your retexture working. Idk if it's a problem on my end or the mods not compatible with the updated Midwestern power armor mod. I really loved your retexture so if your mod isn't compatible will you please considering updating it? Even if you don't thanks for making my game that much better while it lasted.
I feel ya Davedubay, I just recently download the Midwestern Power Armor from newermind43 and try to use the retexture from dpillari. Then I find out that the textures file need to rename it, in order the update version from newermind43 to work again.
Download the retexture file then extract to anywhere you wish, then head to the Data\Textures\NewerMind43\BOS_PowerArmor
Take you time and check carefully. Then finally copy and paste to YOUR game data\textures\NewerMind43\Actors\BOSPowerArmor Press yes to all replace. Then try play the game head to your Midwest power armor paint to brotherhood, DONE. EDIT. Pardon my terrible grammar.
I noticed the folder structure for the retexture is wrong and the file names are also wrong, they do not overwrite anything
and I came here to comment on that, then I noticed your comment....I almost decided to ditch this retexture but you made it much easier and quicker for me to fix this mod, so thanks a lot...
Small observation : the
Parts_N.dds >> PartsBOS_n.dds
is a new file, does not exist in the original texture...i guess its a normal map if n is for nrm and d is for diffuse or something....worst case scenario game wont use it
This is excellent and a necessary addition to the armor, because my exact thoughts were "This is so cool, but THOSE TEXTURES, SO FLAT..." and you took that and ran with it and it makes it much nicer to look at and play with, thank you.
SO why did Nevermind take down the original mod? This armor is hands down the best ever, I just recently wiped and reinstalled Windows to a new SSD and didn't back up my mods, so I can never get this again? WTF?
This definitely was needed. the original mod looks amazing, but it was definitely lacking in the attention to detail department. THANK YOU!!! (please try to get to some of the paints please, like the atom cats, and the dark night plox)
