    FAQ:

1.) Is it save game compatible?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
Yes, but you will not see any difference until you go to an area you have never been before or when the cell resets for those areas that you have, which by default takes about a week. Also the reduced water production and crop output levels can be a shock to a saved game with a lot of settlements. Just think of it as a dry spell in an ever changing wasteland that is trying to kill you. It is not longer as simple as "those who arrive, survive".
2.) Why can I not harvest crops by hand anymore?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
This is a feature of the mod, crops can now only be harvested by settlers. In the base game this is a super easy free source of loot that you can take from anyone without hearing a word about it. It is also odd that the sole survivor can just plop a plant in dirt, leave for three days and have a flourishing plant when he comes back, Settlers on the other hand mind the crops constantly. Wild Crops are untouched in this manner and now give regular crops which can be used in settlements. Wild crops have been used to help their domesticated cousins since the early 19th century.
3.) I cannot get paid by farmers to harvest crops because of the above answer, what is up with that?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
It is too easy just to walk away with their whole crop, eat all of it it front of them or sell it back to them like it belongs to you, none of which is considered stealing, it just had to go, this vanilla feature is absolutely broken. You can still give them crops for caps like those found in the wild and in containers, just not their crops.
4.) Can you make a compatibility patch for another mod?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
It saddens me to say that I do not have the personal time to set up and maintain several different compatibility patches for as many mods that there are on the Nexus. If however you would like to do this, go for it!
5.) What is up with 0.25 crop yields?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
Loot output from farming and water needed to be reduced, as for the exact number of 0.25 it is one of the lowest values that does not cause a minor UI bug and is also conveniently half the original value for OCD sake.
6.) Where are the 10mm guns in Vault 111?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
They were looted by certain other outsiders prior to your release. Behind the scenes they were removed to give more importance to pipe weapons in the early game, and a give a sense of vulnerability and peril at the start.
7.) Why does this mod have a script in it?

    Answer:
    Spoiler:
    Show
As of version 2.4 a script was added that allows novice locked containers to spawn with extra loot, wherein vanilla this was not possible. Since a lot of containers do not spawn above this lock level for certain types of containers, it could be a let down when you unlocked something and found a screwdriver inside. Now you get something cool but balanced almost every time. It is an extremely small, simple and discrete script that will not constantly run and will not cause any performance issues but it does change the uninstall procedure for the mod.

    Compatibility Issues Announcement:

For those of you who have large load orders and compatibility issues and who may not be aware, it is relatively easy to create a compatibility or 'merged' patch for almost anything using FO4Edit/xEdit once you know the basics.

It might seem daunting or too complicated for the uninitiated but most of it is just understanding what a few colors mean and then dragging and dropping things as needed.

There is a guide on the program here:

    http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:XEdit

    You can download xEdit here:

    www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737/

Support for Fallout Loot Overhaul will be in a lower state for awhile due to free-time issues, I will still poke my head in every once in awhile to check the bug reports tab. If you noticed a bug, please make a bug report (via that tab) so it will be easier for me to find them!

    Thank you for your time.

i just started a new playthrough with this mod and holy crap, lol i can't find anything to save my life and the game is on very easy, like every time i kill any animal, i can't extract anything off their corpse to sustain my life, that is a bad situation, i think maybe animals should be left alone, but other NPC's need to carry food on them as well, because i get radiation poisoning and i get nothing but a whole lot of nothing to use lol, no stimmy packs, no food no nothing lol.

i'm getting my ass kicked due to no food, like i can handle the scarcity of items in the general world, but no food is kind of pointless. i'm going to die from starvation and and from my stacking wounds and radiation on my player before i get anywhere in the story of the game.

Head to Sunshine Tidings and you'll find a WSG perk mag in one of the cabins that will restore food.

Wild Mutfruit grows almost everywhere and gives only 2 points of radiation poisoning. Traders sell food - even a schoolgirl should understand this! Your complaints are strange.

this is an old comment i made when i first started playing this game, back when i didn't know much about trading routs or much of anything, i just wanted less loot at the time, and this mod had that, i just didn't know it would completly take everything that was lootable lol.

now i could probably run it well enough on survival with hunter of the commonwealth mod which allows you to butcher animals you kill, so food would no longer be a problem.

LOL, food is not a problem at all! I don’t even take x2 magazine for collecting meat from animals, because excess meat burdens the character and in general the meat only accumulates in your settlements, so it’s easier to buy food from merchants, which is useful for roleplay. Caps are also not a problem if you approach the character construction correctly. I never exploited water farms and even refused legendary loot so as not to spoil the economy and I had enough of everything.
A simple example, you create a stormtrooper and want to confidently take a hit, for this you need to think about defense, and the “Rooted” perk gives protection and it also helps you become stronger, you deal more damage in melee/unarmed combat, and you also increase your portable weight is the benefit of 3 in 1, instead of thinking about "Strong Back". A regular brass knuckle for the first modification “Sharp” does not require the “Blacksmith” skill, then you need to take care of the 1st rank of “Armorer” in order to install mods for the arms to increase the damage of unarmed weapons and install mods for the legs “Strengthened”.
This is a great start for that character who wants to develop "Science" and laser weapons, because there is no Fusion Cell at the start. That is, you don’t need to think about the “Iron Fist” perk, the damage we have is already enough, then we just meet Dance and the merchants who sell Fusion Cell. As a result, you have brass knuckles for small animals and insects, and you also have a laser weapon for large ones. Minimum costs.
P.S. Your approach is strange, you don’t know the game, but you’re already in a hurry to install a bunch of modifications, it’s like a drug addiction. My friends do this, a lot of people do this, and that means I want to do this too. And if they all rush to fall off the roof, will you jump after them too? Rhetorical question :))

like i said, when i first started playing this game i didn't really know s#*! and at the time when getting this mod i didn't understand the full mechanics of everything, so my complaint's were more for lack of information of how to play with this mod on.

now i have no issue playing in survival mode, i find it funny you mention that you never took advantage of the unlimited water exploit in the settlements system, well at the time i never used it either because i didn't fully understand the settlement system, the only exploit i used at the time was having a bed because i didn't have any camping mods or any idea where beds i could use in the world were, to me personally that's an oversight on Bethesda's part in my opinion, some new map markers should show up for survival mode to give you a better idea where to find some of these resources, but given people who have played the game multiple times they already know where these resources are found.

recently i have gone back to skyrim because FO4 has become a bit too boring for my taste, but i started doing a survival run and there are a few things that i wish they added to the survival mode that feel like oversights just as described in my previous paragraph of what FO4 needed in it's survival mode, but my hands are currently hurting from all the typing so i will have to end this convo for the time being.

Yeah, the food changes are just unfun and tedious.
      I'm in a survival game.
8h in and I'm still not done with getting Sanctuary at 5 food units...

This mod just forces you to meta-game if you want to get your playthrough started...
I honnestly just downloaded the cheat terminal to give me enough food to start a settlement, otherwise in survival you're bound to play hours to add a few units of food to a single settlement, which is just stupid.

      "just stupid"?
Are you sure you understand real life and the F4 game correctly? All you need to do is swipe your credit card across the reader to make your belly expand, hence your misunderstanding that vegetables and fruits take several months to grow. Animal meat can be found everywhere, for home warlords they even introduced a magazine into the game with x2 meat collection, which I ignore because the meat only accumulates and devalues the exclusivity of buffs, for example, "Yao guai ribs". Food is sold from merchants and it’s strange that you don’t know about it, it’s obvious that you prefer to leave Sanctuary at level 20+, otherwise you would have explored the surrounding area long ago and collected a lot of any food, including 50-60 “Wild mutfruit”, which is found in the wasteland a lot, plus a few "Wild tarberries".
With abundance, F4 is like a walk-through yard where everyone walks around on drugs and enjoys life, that is, they don’t need to collect anything, they don’t need to survive and pay with lids, they will pay for everything with a credit card :))

After uninstalling this mod, power armor pieces are still very rare. I have Even reinstalled Fallout 4, made sure no files remained and started another game. Am I the only one with this problem?
    I couldn't find info anywhere.
    Still a great mod.

is it normal for settlers to eat food from the workshop? i have noticed that my settlers are eating my donut mix(from the slocums joe download) and they werent my last playthrough which did not have this mod in it, its pretty disconcerting when i bring back 15 donut mixes to my settlement then head out again and bring back 2 or 3 only to find out that the 15 are gone, i have plenty of food production with foods, i believe so they shouldnt be eating my fattening donut mixes that i need to use to make caffine donuts with...

so is it intentional with this mod or something that was overlooked/added somehow

Idk if i'll ever get an answer to this but i'll ask anyways.. does anyone know exactly what this mod does to power armor? because i was thinking if it was pairable with the Some Assembley Requiered mod that makes it so power armor frames have less parts, it also removes a lot of the power armor frames around the wasteland. because i mean. what are the chances that every single power armor frame around the commonwealth would have the armor unlooted?

Why is Mutfruit still at 1.0 production and harvestable? All other crops are 0.25 and not harvestable.

Edit: figured it out, another mod overwriting the production value

I scarcity of loot is very logical but with the meat... what was this guy thinking... He completely deleted all meat from the game when killing animal & creatures... How can you have food in a survival run then huh? Wanna uninstall this mod mid-game? ''use a save script cleaner'' Oh well, who would have thought, I have one right here in my right pocket and I instantly know how to use it...

      Hi,
when I remember correctly you need to find Wasteland Survival Guide 9, Hunting in the Wastes and then you learn how to gather Meat from Animals. A small immersion tweak of the mod.

Thats cool and all if we wanted that. But if we downloaded the mod and didn't know that to begin with that kind of makes the game unenjoyable. It should be up to the player if we wanted that little detail about it.
