Some outfits can have a footstep sound on them - alot of the vtaw wardrobe include "default footsteps" which means you can hear both at the same time. Its a time consuming process, but basically you remove it from the "armor addon" section if memory serves correctly. Obviously not for boots and shoes.
I don't get barefoot footsteps on normal vault floors. Never noticed it till now cause I usually use an altenative start and don't visit vaults. Anybody knows what floor is used in vaults and how to add it to the barefoot sets? I don't understand why it does not play barefoot sounds although seemingly this mod uses all floor materials of the default footstep sets to apply them.
Edit: ok, think I got it. If somebody cares, the mod applies in "Impact Data Set" to MaterialGroundTileVinyl [MATT:00039BE1] the impact FSTTileVinylRunImpact [IPCT:00039369], which is the default shoed impact. I changed it to FSTBarefootStoneSolidRunImpact [IPCT:000E41E8] (accordingly to walking and sprinting) and get barefoot sounds in vaults. Another victory for the barefoot community.
Hey I know its been a while but how can I change the CBBE body? Everytime I do a batch build with the body I want the outfit changes back to vanilla with the shoes on.
Does anyone have any issue with getting this to work with clothes that don't use shoes? I created an esp and selected the barefootstep sounds from the armor ad-on sections but the outfit still use boot sounds.. I used the creation kit
I never thought of this and now I find myself once again flabbergasted at the corners Bethesda cuts to release their bloody games. Kudos to you for fixing this issue! Excellent mod!
Good mod, my char is usually barefoot (tribal background) and the mod is mandatory.
What I don't like that much are the generic footsteps while sneaking. FO4 seemingly does not contain barefoot sneaking footsteps at all. Does not matter on many surfaces but is a bit annoying on hard ones, like stone, metal and wood. Instead of a slight "tap" you get a heavy soled "clunk", as if wearing shoes.
I helped myself in a rough not-perfect-but-ok-ish way, only advisable if you go mostly barefoot, otherwise it's garbage. In the folder "Impact" I changed the sounds (1 and 2) for sneaking on wood from FSTnpcWoodAWalk [SNDR:001C01EC] / FSTPlayerWoodSneak [SNDR:000661CB] to FSTWoodBarefootWalk [SNDR:00057A7D] / FSTPlayerWoodBarefootWalk [SNDR:00057A79], so you get the barefoot tapping while sneaking. Did the same for metal and stone, with the stone sounds, as FO4 has no special barefoot sound for metal.
