I've edited about 60 comics so far, and none have the textures in-game. I used photopea to edit them, then used online-converting.com to convert to dds, with mipmap and everything. I don't understand what the issue is. I've tried putting them directly into the data folder, as well as vortex. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ALso, I accidentally did low-res first instead of high-res. Is there any way to copy and convert my low-res to high-res?
Help, please. I've successfully edited half a dozen different magazines and all load correctly. But the one that won't change texture no matter what is RobCo Fun, those that have included a holotape. Texture format, size, folder structure, everything is just like other edited magazines but the in-game texture of the magazine itself always remain the original. How can I fix it?
The .psd file format is not intended for exchange. It is utterly bloated and can't be ensured to be loaded correctly outside of Photoshop since it is closed source. It is most likely that every other software out there had to reverse engineer this. We highly recommend using another format.
Maybe it was meant to be saved from Photoshop as a .DDS using a plugin and they just forgot? I've seen other mods based on this that had their graphic files saved as DDS and I'm pretty sure theyre functional. Gonna give it a go to confirm
When I have the edited files in DATA, the game crashes when it boots. Before all the logos even. Which is weird, because that hasn't happen before. Was there an update that's getting in the way?
Loved it but followed the directions and can't see what I changed when I Inspect the magazine but when I put them on the Magazine rack they look exactly how I want them to. Any idea what might be causing this?
my steps were: - downloaded assets - edited them in photoshop and saved as .DDS - DIRECTORY\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\data\textures - inserted my edits into their directories - booted game
any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
You need to edit and save both the lowres file (small picture that appears in magazine hacks) and highres file (big picture when inspecting). Note that they are located on different folders - ComicsAndMagazines and ComicsAndMagazinesHighRes.

EDIT: The workaround was opening a duplicated psd as overlay as well.
so i'm hoping to find more stuff like this
but lacked the skills. Your mod has made it possible. Thank you!
So far, though, this has been absolutely invaluable, and better than I would have probably bothered to do on my own.
