Have you ever wondered, why your character can't use that shovel on that shelf as a weapon?
This mod aims to expand the melee weapon variety by adding multiple miscellaneous items as weapons into the game.
Aditionally it tries to keeps the added weapons interresting and unique enough that players keep using them.

Updates for this mod will be out if I have time to update the mod, please don't ask when an update will be released.
Modding is a hobby not my job. Thank you!

If you have a save using a previous version, after the installation of the current version please use the Scrap Melee
Settings holotape to apply the changes to the leveled lists manually.

Installation
===============================================================

Preparation

1. Before installing the mod, move your character to any internal cell location.
2. Create a new save


Via Nexus Mod Manager

Download, install and activate Armorsmith Extended according to instructions
Go to the download section and click on "Download vith Manager"
Once download is finished, add the mod from file
Activate the mod under the "Plugins" tab.


Manually

Download, install and activate Armorsmith Extended according to instructions
Go to the download section and click on "Download manually"
Once download is finished, extract the mod in a chosen location
Copy all the extracted files to {SteamRoot}\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data and click yes, if promted to overwrite files (should not happen, as mod uses unique path naming).
The Steam directory on windows is C:\Programm Files (x86)\Steam per default on 64 bit machies and C:\Programm Files\Steam on 32 bit machines.

Uninstallation
===============================================================

Preparation

1. With the mod active, scrap any items added by this mod and go to an interior cell location that does not contain any items from this mod
2. Create a new save


Via Nexus Mod Manager

Deactivate the mod under the "Plugins" tab
Navigate to the "Mods" tab and click on either "Disable" in the left panel or right click on the mod entry and chose "Uninstall or Delete -> Delete mod (permanantly) and uninstall"


Manually

Deactivate the mod via launcher
Navigate to {SteamRoot}\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data and remove the following folders
materials\Scrap Melee
meshes\Scrap Melee
textures\Scrap Melee
After that remove the following files from the data directory
Scrap Melee.esp
scripts\ScrapMelee_LeveledList.pex

Compatiblity
===============================================================

Mods that alter base game records should be compatible.
Currently the mod uses unique resources and records and does not alter any base-game records except one cell.
Leveled list integration is done by script, so it should generally not conflict with any mods that alter leveled lists.

Weapons

This mod adds the followng weapons with upgrades that are partially unique and partially taken from the base game:

Bone Club
Bonesaw (new)
Broom
Claw Hammer
Fishing Rod (new)
Hoe
Ladle
Mop
Pan
Plunger
Saw
Screwdriver
Shovel
Umbrella


Additionally the game adds a unique variant of one of the mentioned weapons to the game.

The weapons can be crafted at a Weaponsmith workbench (requires Gun Nut 1 and Blacksmith 1).
The weapons themselves require Scrapper 1 to be crafted and the modificaions requirements depend on the chosen modification.
Certain modifications from other weapons can be carried over to the weapons from this mod.
