      this happens with the completely vanilla lip gloss/lip matte texture which is present on a handful of npc's

   Wasn't going to say anything but there are 4 channels (RGBA) but only one is the alpha channel. I would want to know if I'd made this mistake. Feel free to delete this comment if you fix it or don't care.

      Yeah I'm not very experienced with textures, I spent quite a few hours trying to figure this out; what format to use, what to set the alpha and RGB too, etc etc.

      Two years ago I didn't even know that the alpha channel even existed let alone what it was called or what it does (turns out many, many things) and I was like "Derp... dds?? What is that?!" I was such a noob. Still am really.

    I have never seen that before o.O, I mean glossy gives a shine but not that bad.. glad you got a fix for some folks cause holy crap that shine is bad. gj!
